NO Title - Red Bike has most of the body work off and in boxes. It was parked outside for years, then someone started to fix it up, not sure what they did.. I had it running from a aux tank about 5 years ago. I have other higher priority projects.. Tank is full of rust, forks might clean up...

Can you post a real good pic and closeup of the damage ? Someone might be able to just weld in some patches ? I expect anyone that does this for living is going to be 100 bucks an hour or more , and it looks like more than an hours job to do it right.

IF your files isn't sharp it will just melt after you bung up the file …. You might get away with using very coarse sand paper …. For 25 bucks you might find out they are UHMW plastics that is even softer and requires even sharper tools to work with.

back in 2011 , the SMC really didn't run great unless you had the dealer install the offroad only map, only the dealer could download and install them .

What I mean is that the dealer should have access to a place to download the factory map from, like a file server , not an ecu . Have you asked a Kawi dealer ?, or one of the teams that races them ? I know that KTM dealers used to be able download various sets of maps for my SMC.

Would a dealer , or tuner with connections , not be able to download , then reload the factory map for you ?

You can get abs sheet or kydex sheet on amazon or ebay , it is easy to work with , and you can just warm it up and put bends in if needed. It also usually has a texture to it that would look good .

I have a Corbin on my cbr1100xx for 80k I love it, and got it used.. , I tried a Sargent on my fjr, ended up buying a Corbin for it as well... If anything wants the Sargent we can make a deal.... I had a foam concepts on my 690 smc and it was way better than stock... IMO Corbins are expensive...
