Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I fell today. Walking on the sidewalk, exiting a streetcar. Good thing I was wearing all my motorcycle gear. (Not my helmet tho) M Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

My secret if your fingers get cold, wear latex gloves under your gloves or mitts, I wear Mitts below zero. Also works for the summer in wet conditions, your hands will stay warm and dry. Unless you have sweaty hands. M Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

In toronto driving there are no piles of salt. Rule of thumb for me in colder weather and slick looking roads and I know this is counter intuitive... go the speed limit and easy on the corners. Watch other people, because everyone else is still going 80 or 90 in a 60 zone. Then on the...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I just went to the bathroom, although I wore my thermal underwear, I must at this time inform you all of my updated condition. Due to my ride to work in sub zero conditions I.am suffering the symptoms consistent of testicular atrophy more commonly known as "shrinkage." No reason to panic...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Me too, a 20 minute ride to work from etobicoke to mississauga where I work. I was dressed for it, except I had to hide my thumbs behind my grips. At the intersections my hands go right on cylinder number 2...lol M Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I rode in. The streets were just wet here at the bottom of etobicoke. Pleasant ride for sure on the vstar. Did I just spend two hours washing the bike yesterday...yes...yes I did...oh well...I even enjoy doing that. Rain? Rain gear packed for the ride home. I installed a mosfet rr on my gsxr...

    Princess Auto brake bleeder kit

I use the same type of pump, I think I got mine at harbour freight. I use it each spring when I take apart my brakes on the gsxr and vstar to inspect them, clean them, make sure the pistons are all moving equally and I use it to flush out with new fliud. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I rode to work and back 40 kms total. Was a pleasant ride. I saw one other person riding a new adventure bike, looked like the christmas wrapping paper was still on it. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Awesome. I had a nice ride. The streets looked slick so I was extra cautious, likely just wet. It will burn off by tonight. Getting a new rear tire pit on at the shop right now. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

People with small bikes take all the risks. Have you ever seen the guys on the electric bikes in downtown toronto? I am a moderate rider, proven the day I was on queensway around dixie or cawthra and I was laying on the tank of my gixxer enjoying the summer breeze I think I was going 80kph, and...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Nope interestingly it doesnt miss a beat. It is pretty solid and I have had those rides where the bike is on an angle and you are going straight, where the rain is hitting you sideways...lol Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

LOL I have a friend who was a ride along for one of the local clubs back in the day. He never goes out for a ride...I call him One Cloud. If there is a cloud in the sky, he doesnt go out. Tom is right, it is always something. You can stay home and watch tv, or you can go for a ride. Sent...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Yeah the vtx is a nice bike. The previous owner put on one of those kuryakyn hypercharger that operates butterfly valves with the vacuum of the engine, I often wonder how much water is being scooped into there...oh well...It is a silly mod. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I was planning to ride this week to work bit yesterday was too cold, around -9c when I got up to head out. And today I got up early to check things out, I knew there was a lot of snow fall in toronto overnight...well lots for toronto, which equals to a light dusting for most people. I...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Right-on!! I never touch the throttle of either bike when starting. The Vstar does not have a choke. It has a throttle advance. A choke makes for a more rich fuel to air mixture where as on the vstar it only acts to advance the throttle and should be pulled back mostly after the initial 30...

It should go. Snowblowers fire up. Does it get good spark? Listen I drove a vw beetle back in university in manitoba and that sucker started in -30c no problems. It had no heat mind you, and I had to scrape frost on the inside of the car as I was going. Sent from my STV100-3 using Tapatalk

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

I am one of those sick puppies that picked his apartment based on the underground parking. It is in an old building by the lake that literally has only 6 parking spots. I have one spot for both bikes, I do all my maintenance there, I just did my valve service on the gixxer over the holidays. It...
