    Sportbikes and uphill battles

Check with Ronn Calderon @ Dalton Timmis for the GSX-S750, he gave me a great quote on one when I was deciding what to ride. They should be right in line with a Kawasaki Z650 as they are both under 750cc.

    insurance payment periods

Does anyone know if TD will do 12 months ? I'd rather not be giving them money in advance, we all know they have enough! (Not too lazy to call, but want to get others experiences before calling so I know what to expect ahead of time.)

Post your Return/Exchange Policy Nightmare Stories!

So everything you've ever purchased you've been 100% happy with and never needed to return? People do leave and go back to the quiet of their home and second guess the fit, I know I have, more than once. ANY good retail/online MC store suggests trying it on at home before riding. I had a...

    Textile vs Riding jeans

Not too sure, it looks like in the slow mow portion, the second he hits the ground, that first 2 feet of slide, the jacket just explodes in the front. It's visibly already torn before he even hits the dirt and tumbles. Guy is lucky it wasn't one of those lengthy low sides as he would have been...

    Textile vs Riding jeans

Very low speed, low side wearing textiles. I understand it's an icon jacket, but I'm confident and Icon leather jacket would not do the same. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-PylOp2EB8 Medium speed, being dragged behind a car for 40 seconds while wearing leather...

    Textile vs Riding jeans

Vented leathers works pretty well once you get >70kph. Was out yesterday for a 3.5 hour ride in a full 2 piece, my biggest complain was irritation on my face from sweat/sun. Stay hydrated and try not to ride in traffic or congested areas, definitely had to pry myself out of my gear but am able...

Thinking of used Hayabusa - Insure it

For most companies this is correct, there's a few out there that will give credit for previous riding history after a gap (Allstate + TD), not sure of any others.

Thinking of used Hayabusa - Insure it

I'm with Statefarm for everything but the bike, their stance on Supersport bikes is laughable at best unfortunately. You mention any bike in that category and your agent will probably crawl under the table. Years ago they were the company to go with for cheap rates, but with the "insurance...

    ESR (Eat Sleep Ride)

Just to follow up, out last night, hit a tiny bump while accelerating at the same time and Crashlight went off, even on the low sensitivity. They need to refine it a bit more IMO. There is also another one "CRADAR" which I may try.

    Your goto for stuff?

I will say I had great service at GP Bikes earlier this year during their No Tax Event. Mary Anne was amazing, spent quite a bit with me to ensure I was happy with the gear I was buying; very knowledgeable. They are quite a ways from me which is too bad as their gear selection is great.

    ESR (Eat Sleep Ride)

Haha, HALP! Exactly, you set the "sensitivity" of how much jolting your phone can take before it deems an accident has occurred. Once it senses an accident, it pops up on the screen and tells you a crash has been detected, you have 3 minutes to cancel it before it contacts your preset numbers...

    Your goto for stuff?

Buying tires this season solidified my online shopping even more. I tried to buy local, called all of the shops in my area. They all wanted nearly $500+install. I was able to buy the same set of tires from Pete's Superbikes and have them installed ON my bike (by the same shop), for less than...

    ESR (Eat Sleep Ride)

This app doesn't call the cops, it called a pre-selected set of numbers (loved ones) to let them know you may need assistance. I think you have 2 - 3 minutes to silence the alert.

    ESR (Eat Sleep Ride)

Neat idea, as Malamute mentioned, it seems good for tracking ride history when trying to recall a neat place you went. Crashlight seems pretty touchy, the medium and high settings went off with every bump and mid-throttle, on the low setting I have no idea if it will in fact work now. Would be...

    Trackimo Canada. Bankrupt.

I'm surprised this market isn't more saturated with products. I've been looking for a replacement for awhile and it seems there are only a few players with practically no reviews. No clear winner or go-to.

Recommendations on bar end mirrors? Brand name or eBay?

I've had the CRG foldable mirrors on a previous bike, they were great. Completely vibration free and very clear. I think a set with the Rinomoto bar ends runs $250~. Quality is top notch of course. Definitely pricey but from the sounds of ebay mirrors, you're options are either invest in a...

    Warning label removal help

I've used Isopropyl Alcohol in the past (the type you buy from the drug store). There is no picking of stickers, it literally just dissolves the sticker and you rub over it lightly back and forth. Careful not to spread it to far or you get sticky bits of sticker scattered over your bike. If...

Canadian Rider Subscriber Meet & Ride May 13th!

Awesome, looking forward to it! :D I might be missing something but can't seem to find how Waze or Google Maps in Android (or iOS) from the app, will create a custom route? In google maps the closest option I've found, is to "add destinations" in between your start and end point over and over...

Canadian Rider Subscriber Meet & Ride May 13th!

Hey Sonduren, Love the vlogs! I'm always amazed how clean your bike is lol. Quick question, what do you use to navigate these Motowhere routes when you're out riding? I've exported to GPX and tried OSMAND but not sure that's the best option. Thanks!
