Needing help to find insurance on my motorcycle

Just curious, how much do you spend in gas per month on your truck?

    Installing Grips

Thin piece of metal (coat hanger) up inside the grip, followed by WD40 spray nozzle, work the grip for a few seconds and it should slide right off. Used hairspray for a few seasons and had no issues, still plenty tough to get off when the grip is done; setup time is a bit longer than some grip...

Insurance Void if Riding on Highway on M1?

+1 Any claim against your insurance at this point would probably make it financially 'impractical' to continue riding in the future. Companies are reluctant enough to give fair rates to new riders, especially those with accidents during M1 phase.

This is what I was afraid of.....

Just curious why this is generally a huge mistake ? Seems to be a common practice from speaking with people who buy/sell lots of items ? (Genuinely asking as I'm in the process of selling a vehicle myself and obviously want to stay within the letter of the law)

is it worht it getting a 1000cc SS for the street?

I swear, if it wasn't that OP has been registered for 4 years and has 180 posts, this would be classified as total troll thread lol. I'm still in shock so many are giving honest advice lol.

    Help! Lowest quote $9800!!

You saw how nice of a day it was yesterday, he was probably out cruising Miss. Road... I tried to go through the summons in my head, what they could possibly be, I'm at a loss as well lol.

    Help! Lowest quote $9800!!

OP, step back and look at your situation: 21 Riding for 1 year ~ Several tickets (enough that you don't know the actual number apparently) 6 Summons/riding without insurance, etc At this point I would be more concerned with how you'll get to work for the next 5-10 years than how you can hold...

    Insurance Gap

+1 Based on my experience searching for insurance on my 750 and speaking with Ronn Calderon at Dalton directly, there's no way they will give you a reasonable quote (let alone insure you) as a new rider on an SS. Online quote systems 9/10 are drastically incorrect. TD probably has the best/most...

    Tmp

My apologies for the confusion, I was speaking strictly of the drag side from 7-11pm. They use to have a manned ambulance there every Test and Tune in years past.

    Tmp

I use to go there years back when admission was cheaper and they had working toilets.. I was amazed to see the toilet situation last year, and even more amazed that they haven't corrected it during the off season. Sometime over the years I wasn't going admission has increased 50% for Test and...

    Helmet laws in Ontaro

Here's a thread where helmet cams were discussed not to long ago. http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?196266-GoPro-helmet-mount-is-this-illegal Seems like it boarders on the 'it's illegal, but most cops won't ticket you unless they are out to get you, or you are being a jerk'...

    Sportbike back packs?

Oops haha, got lost in all the talk of the bag later in the thread. They make different "sizes" depending on the bike you have. What's the year and model of your bike? (I listed them in my post, what my specific one will fit). It's in excellent condition, absolutely no signs of wear. As you...

    Sportbike back packs?

I actually have one for sale if anyone is interested. Selling it because I no longer own the bike (07 GSXR 600) and it doesn't fit my new one. It's great for small day trips, or when you're going to need to pack a sweater, extra visor and some snacks. Retails for $73 USD + $39 USD shipping. I...

Leaving battery charger on in bike

Can't add much to the debate that hasn't been said; just my experience with my battery this year: New battery April 2017 Last ride: Nov 28, 2017 -- DID NOT START / RIDE / CHARGE AT ALL Charged mid APR; based on battery size and tender charging speed, it should have taken something like 16...

    Coseco Insurance warning

Well I think it's bait and switch if they give you a quote and then come back days later to explain their policy of needing home+auto. I'm with Allstate and right from the first phone call I was told "for sportbikes we require home and auto" so you know ahead of time what the deal is. If it's...

    Coseco Insurance warning

I think he was more eluding to a bait and switch type mentality there. I've experienced it with TD MM, great rates and quotes, once you tell them to write it and it goes to their underwriters you get a call back with problems. Definitely have a back plan if Coseco rates don't pull through as...

Half the asking price, but I'll pay cash!!

This is what always gets me, I'm still confused to this day. Regardless of what I've been selling, a car, furniture, electronics: "I'LL GIVE YOU CASH TONIGHT" My take on Kijiji/'cash' lowballers: I think a lot of these people who low ball items and pull the old 'I HAVE CASH RIGHT NOW' are...

    Biker wave question

Good ol' Statefarm rates. I remember when I got my first quote from them after hearing "NO" from a few other companies years and years ago I had to ask the agent 3 times "So, for real? that's the price? sign me up!" lol

    Biker wave question

Sorry wasn't referring to general public noticing, it's an observation I make when out riding, can ride a whole afternoon without passing another sport bike but will encounter 40 cruisers or naked bikes whereas 5+ years ago sport bikes had a much higher % in the mix. If I am passing something...
