    Accepting payments for bike sale?

Isn't this the same concept as a layaway plan you'd see at Kmart? If you do it, you'd probably want to write in the contract what happens if you can't produce the bike. Like he gets money back plus interest - and at what rate? And keep the bike insured, but don't ride it. If something...

    The DVP

It's not a horrible ride. I ride daily, 6:45am which is great - get on at Eglington, and try to out of downtown by 3:30pm. In the summer its a lot lighter. Ya, you gotta be on. In the years I've ridden only had a couple of incidence. Two Hondas, one I kicked the door as it was sliding over...

Completed Motorcycle School, passed M1 Road Test, need help for what to do next!

Time to get a bike!!! I'd suggest something old and used for sure. A 500 Ninja is a decent starter bike. For areas to ride. Your neighborhood is pretty busy so if your aren't used to that you may want to ride at night or early morning when the traffic is less, until you get used to it. I...

    Back to Basics

This type of practice would be worth it, but as the thread states, the people practicing are probably just redoing the exercises from the M1 course. That's fine, but if they don't make it harder then their skills won't increase. Like hopefully they aren't pushing each other around, or trying...

    Back to Basics

Parking lot practice is good after a winter layoff, to get your body back into it. Do I do parking lot practicing - no. I get enough of it commuting downtown and in parking lots. If you ride enough you probably do the drills over and over again. Nothing beats time on the bike. The slow...

    Riding with a cold/Flu?

I think it's smog and allergies related. I've been marking down when I get sick throughout the year for a few years now - and it turns out right around the same period of time. For me - late April/Early May, and right around when it starts getting hot and humid. This year, I went down south...

Saw myself a police chase first hand...

Well, he was very stealthy like a Ninja. For some odd reason I thought I pictured the the CBR1000RR Repsol model. I think that's what I saw when he blew by me. Hopefully he got home OK and changed the bulb on his bike.

Saw myself a police chase first hand...

Forget just a truck tire, try anybody changing lanes. You couldn't see this guy at all unless there was a car behind him. He was wearing all black, dark helmet. It was one of those nights that was just pitch black. If he was beside me, I wouldn't be able to even see him during a shoulder check.

Saw myself a police chase first hand...

The way that rider passed me - he wasn't going to stop. He just gunned it and took off once I pulled onto the shoulder. The cop looked pretty determined too, they were both moving pretty fast. When I rounded the next corner I didn't see the cherries anymore - I'll assume the cop gave up? I...

Saw myself a police chase first hand...

Going north on HWY 400 @ 10pm near Barrie. A motorcycle following me (I'm in my car). The motorcycle has no headlights at all. All I see is this silhouette in the headlights of the cars behind me. I'm keeping an eye on him because you can't see him at all in the dark unless there are cars...

Motorcycle Parking Fees Recommended without Notice or Public Consultation

Re: City council voting on getting rid of free parking for motorcycles today For sure if this goes through, I'm taking an entire length of car space. There's no way I'm paying the same price as a car and only allowed to take up 1/5 the space - that counceller that had the stupid quote...

options for carrying laptop while commuting?

I used a magnetic tankbag for the longest time. A technique I think - you could partially unzip the magnets and a knapsack carrying strap would come out to sling around. I preferred not wearing a knapsack because commuting with one on get kind of hot.

Who sells Scorpion EXO 700 Helmets in the GTA

Did you end up buying a scorpion helmet yet? Interested in buying a exo-1000 for $50? Used it only about 5 times. Never dropped still looks new. Just not the right shape for my head and too heavy. Couldn't last longer than 1 hr in it so had to go back to my other brand.

Waving--Can we put this topic to rest!

I saw a guy today and he didn't wave, had no gear on, his pipes were annoyingly loud, I think he used synthetic oil, and was pulling out of a Boston Pizza..... and he might have also had a t-shirt on that said "I'm OUT!"... Damn these threads are entertaining.

So I did want a ducati

I was wandering around Rome, found myself in a Ducati dealership, and the sales guys told me - picture this with a thick italian accent.... "Ducati is like an Italian woman, Beautiful, Aggressive, and high maintenance!!!" Don't know if it's true or not. Regarding the woman or the bike...
