Motorcycle Lean Angles Explained - MotoGP vs. WSBK

If you bothered to read your own reference you'll note it's cited as a fictitious force as it doesn't exist. Anyway that's besides the point I don't think it's going to be a useful endeavor to continue down this road.

Motorcycle Lean Angles Explained - MotoGP vs. WSBK

There is no such thing as centrifugal force. There is only centripetal. And while you may brush aside the kinematics of what's going on by using simple words like leaning, the equations and mechanics are anything but.

Motorcycle Lean Angles Explained - MotoGP vs. WSBK

Gyroscopic precession, circular motion kinematics, moments of inertia... yeah, not elementary physics, but I appreciate the sentiment.

    Who parks like this?

The language is very clear here. You shall park your bike no less than 45º and no more than 60º. Not sure if you took math or not, but 0º is not within that range. This isn't even about exceptions.

Four motorcyclists charged for doing 192km/hr on the 404

Maybe they were on SV650s, Ninja 650s, or whatever equivalent, in which case, they were topping out (or just about).

    Question for you lane splitters

That's like saying breathing isn't legal, it's just not illegal at the moment. Laws typically define outlines and structures of things you shouldn't do, therefore anything that isn't spelled out is legal.

PAN-AM HOV lanes on DVP and Gardiner

So true. Meanwhile, I'm getting home in rush hour traffic in less than half the time it normally took me. It's beautiful.

What's your scariest moment on a bike

That's pretty awesome that you kept it upright. My moments: * Car clipped me making a left turn, frame slider tore into his rear turn light, I was fine. Bike stayed upright. Cop cited him for careless driving, he paid for a replacement fairing. * Ate **** trying to pass two trucks on gravel in...

    A motorcycle thief has graduated...

Kind of agree. But who knows what else that was tied to.

    Which is easier?

If I'm taking a quick trip in town I just wear a helmet, which is just as easy (if not more so) than opening doors to the car. I'm off in no time, can safely travel in the parked car lane, can park for free, am quicker off the line. I dunno, I find it easier to move around on the bike in town...

How come Ducatti bikes don't have side-view mirrors on them?

When you move this fast it doesn't matter what's behind you.

Portable flash drive to connect to a rear camera?

This is a crazy misunderstanding of the technology at work. USB is simply a serial bus protocol, and a USB key is just a memory unit whose interface is that serial bus. Without something instructing how to write to the memory, you won't record anything, and furthermore a straight up RCA-USB...

    1/4" torque wrench

    I have a 3/8 and 1/4 and they both work great. I've used upwards of 80 ft-lbs.

Backpack increase risk of back injuries?

Definitely. If I can ride without I'll take the option. My tank bag comes in real handy. My tail bag would get more use if it wasn't a pain to put on the rear seat.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

It's not illegal, but it's generally not a good idea to do that. If there's a vehicle making a right hand turn, it's not even legal at all. http://www.wheels.ca/news/on-a-right-turn-who-has-right-of-way-car-or-bike-1408/

Can we legalize lane filtering yet?

On average I'm getting about 200km out of a tank (16L) (6.25L/100km). On my Civic I was managing 5.7. And let's be frank, I have more fun on the bike so I'm not looking to get the best fuel economy out of it either.

    I Saw You: V.2.0

Re: I Saw You, Are you on this forum? V.2.0. 427 southbound, around 6:00-6:30pm today. Black Suzuki 400si. You had a black helmet on, and a white tshirt, no gloves, no boots that I could see. You had the worst lane positioning I've ever seen in my life. You'd hug the outside of the lane...

What are YOU looking for in a moto store?

I just realized this would be amazing, too. It's likely they'd never be able to hold it down as the cost of running storefront would be absurd, and considering the margins on this kind of equipment are already slim, they wouldn't be able to survive.

Spray Cleaner - Spray & Wipe

Picked some up a while back, was really let down by the results. The videos made it seem like it was actually fairly decent. The only thing that degrimes like a mother****er is kerosene + a good hose. A mild detergent wash and detailing spray later and the bike is at the best it's going to look...
