I drove (cage) to Bridgenorth and had breakfast with 11 motorcycle buddies this morning. All were in a good mood and looking forward to this years first ride.

Why do I own an ss? Part of the reason is that I appreciate the engineering of the machine. I also like anything to do with racing. Oh yah, I like riding it.

I wired a new fused circuit from the battery to a waterproof cigarette lighter. When not in use its an open circuit and you can run many devices with appropriate adapters.

Decided to go with Gary and Baggsy ideas. Mount it on fuel tank then probably in the drawer lol.

My first AC and wondering if anyone had success on where to mount it. Riding an SS bike.

I was contemplating picking up a jump/boost battery pack until I read it's for lead acid batteries only. My bike has a lithium battery so I was wondering if there is anything safe to use for lithium?

So has anyone used a radar detector successfully on a motorcycle? How did you install it and what brand did you use? A few decades ago I removed the LED light and rewired/installed it next to my visor, removed the on/off switch and wired it to my thumb and used a snowmobile communicator...

Why aren't they legal? The government is broke, always have been. It's all about revenue. How can they generate revenue if everyone has a radar detector? I have struggled with this for years. I researched devices and contemplated how to effectively mount and use one on my bike. The problem...

My buddies and I refuse (within reason) to ride in cities or 400 series hwys for the above reason. Not may folks on their cell phones on hyw 507 or they become part of the rock-cut.

I would love to have a dirt bike version of these things. However for just a few more bucks more a klx 250 sounds way better. Happy Apexes.

I also U-bolted one to my motorcycle lift. It's very stable.

It lines up and keeps the bike straight so you can easily use the rear jack all by yourself without any problem.

There is still something about a truck that I miss. Oh yah, use Shell Gold and sea foam or fuel stabile, run for 10 min and all will be well in the spring.

My poor old Sonata must also serve as a trailer mule from time to time. It makes dump runs, appliance pick-ups and pulls my motorcycle around surprisingly well.

Rode most of the day. Thankful for heated apparel. :)
