All you Ducati lovers dont have to get so defensive, Im not bashing your bikes. I like Ducati's as well, and yes they have got alot better in the mainanence department compared to older Duc's.
The fact is they still have some things that need to be maintaned sooner than Jap bikes. What you gain...
You say Duc's arent high maintanence and then go on to prove that they are. The Jap bikes valves will still be good at 19000k and definetly dont need a timing chain every 2 years if ever.
I have nothing against Ducati, they are really nice bikes. But dont try and sugar coat the maintanence...
No doubt your tires have lots of meat left on them, but they still age. Old tires tend to go hard and dont stick to the road as well as you may need them to.
Obviously the gixxer is king bra...But seriously they are all so similar that there isn't one better than the other. Just get whatever is the most comfortable.

You need to relax, if you fail just book another test. It's really nothing to worry about, exadurate your head movements when you check your mirrors, blind spot checks, and look both ways before going through intersections. Don't shift while turning, and keep a brake on when stopped. If you do...
