    Ring Around The Erie

What a difference a day makes. Almost immediately into the twisties, and barely any traffic. Headed out of New Philadelphia, OH and towards the lake here. I took Hwy 39/212/542 and this is Lake Atwood: I continued along OH 39 (which I recommend) and eventually you get into the Ohio River...

    Ring Around The Erie

OK so here's the thing - I thought I'd be getting on to the big ferry to cross Lake Erie - but - I guess they just have a lot more people going from Leamington to Pelee Island than they do going all the way to Sandusky - so I was on the baby ferry - fits about 12 cars total and the deck is...

    Road Rage

I wanted to vote often, but then I thought - Hey, I ride 95% of the time out in the country, and there's very little rage out there. Most times it's not pure rage, it's road annoyance. So, seldom overall. Cities push me into often.

    Ring Around The Erie

Ring Around The Erie + mini Ride Report Yikes, I didn't realize the August long weekend was coming up so fast! I think I will be doing this (first big ferry ride): which will get me some views of the rolling hills like this and, of course, a top case full of cherry coke and bourbon to...

Sport tourer for an old fart?

I've "adapted" 2 bikes to be touring capable - a VFR and an FZ6 - with Givi baggage. Although they toured just fine, I do appreciate the purpose built sport tourers, whether it be my C14, or the Yamaha/Honda/BMW variants. I just like the integration of the touring components rather than the...

Sportbike Riders: Would you ever switch to a Cruiser?

I would have answered "I dunno, I've never tried one", but I will have to go with No for now. Enjoying the comfort and power of my C14.

Barber Museum in Alabama - amazing!

There are more motorcycles here than I could count! We were at this museum for about 5 hours, and we probably didn't see everything. If you're interested in the history of bikes, then you can't miss this place. We were able to leave the hotel at 8am and do the Cherohala Skyway and the Dragon...

How's your weather looking? I'm going down a completely different way than you - Sarnia - Detroit - Cincinnati - Louisville - and the forecast has changed from crap to sunshine (yay!) Of course my friend pointed out that Louisville had a tornado on Tuesday night - thanks buddy.
