Went for a short ride yesterday out to Brighton for lunch then up to Warkworth and home. Started at 10 degrees, saw as high as 16 (!!) but was normally around 12.
I didn't wear my heated gear and the layers were more than enough. I'm going to go out on a bright day when the temp is in the mid...
Perhaps your brake issue would be resolved with a master cylinder rebuilt kit. They're not expensive, the one for my Husqvarna was around 30.00 CDN., as was a kit for the rear brake on a previous KTM 530.
Well wherever they're made, and regardless of who it is bringing them back I hope they have the courage to reintroduce the "Plonker".
Because who among us wouldn't revel in the thrill of of joining a group of friends and strangers and proudly (and loudly) proclaiming. "Hey everybody come look...
It's viby, flexy frame and swingarm combined with prehistoric brakes and basic suspension make handling....well they don't. People pour tons of money into them, but it's wasn't designed for anything more than gentle, short, local rides on secondary roads.
Was reading an article about BMW airheads (thinking of buying one). The author said beware of low mileage examples, not so much about turned-back odometers but about bikes that have sat too much allowing seals, hoses etc. to dry out. Perhaps his concerns were more centred around carbs and...
Sorry; I pretty much hate myself for doing this, but the word is "exacerbated". If the gas is exasperated by high intake pressures it's intensely irritated by it.
As I said, I've annoyed myself by doing this but it's a word swap that drives me crazy as I hear it on the news from time to time.
I've always had a soft spot (perhaps in my head) for EVO sportsters. It started with Alan Girdler writing about his 883 4 speed back in the late 80's. It just seemed like a simple, stripped down essential motorcycle and the way he described it made me want one. Except, I don't live in California...
The price was reasonable in context of the market, but it's still a 14 year old bike. Occasionally I find it hard to believe/justify the used prices, but given the price of new comparable dual sports it's a bargain.
True. Too many people sitting in the left lane instead of passing and moving over. Even trying to use it for passing is a constant brake/gas pedal tap dance and you don't get very far anyway.
I've noticed recently that EVERY time I go through the GTA I witness crazy dangerous driving on the...
All things being equal, if I were you I might enquire as to the shop rate at the BMW shop you'd need to frequent. I realize that the bike probably isn't that complicated but it might be worthwhile checking into.
When we moved from Pickering our business phone number changed. We had the 416 Pickering number since 1956.
Apparently, Bell re-used the number for some dude's cell phone. After receiving quite a few calls that were meant for us he looked up our new number and called.
After the misplaced anger...
