Nice ...I think it's cool that local machinists are forward thinking. If only pricing for parts for these bikes could be competitive.
A couple years ago, I asked a guy I know to make me some shift rods.....his pricing was through the roof
Anyhow.. .good luck with your quest...racers are...
not for anything, but its fairly well known that they don't come apart. I've straightened a few, but you have to be careful on the throttle side, depends on where its bent.
After 2 race seasons of throwing them in the garbage, we went with clip ons that are cheaper to replace.
We have had both, done trackdays and racing with them.
They are both capable bikes. It really comes down to your preference of EFI over carbs. A new rider won't know the difference in power. That being said, if you plan on keeping it for a while, go with the 300. If you are just using it to...
They should honor your Racer5, but you should also consider doing the org's day long race school. My stepson did Racer5, but we wanted him to learn the specifics of Shannonville.
Couldn't have asked for a better instructor, as Tomas was leading the other 2 school ppl around that day.
It's supposed to, but the race organization may want to evaluate that person.
Especially if they just show up, without a mentor. Nothing wrong with taking a 1 day race school to familiarize yourself with the track and the organization's procedures.
