I've made a few of these, for myself and a few friends. As TSC113 said, 2 sheets of plywood, don't have to make them the exact dimensions as the plans on the website. They aren't as versatile as a lift but definately a cheap way to save your back and knees.

I know nothing about cruisers, but I find it very interesting that you only want to upgrade the rear shock. How about finding middle ground or up your budget a bit and do the fronts too? Keep in mind, spending this kind of money does not necessarily increase the resale value of your bike.

Go through it with a fine tooth comb and fix stuff that it needs, like the license plate light. Degrease,clean and polish it. I would also suggest offering to have it certified for potential buyers.

I wasn't referring to your bike specifically, it was a general comment. I'm sure you would have noticed a huge difference if you had a set of alpha's on it

OEM tires on those bikes are downright crappy. OP, get rid of them as soon as they start to square off

Depends on the day and weather conditions. At the last round in Sept., they had open practice in the afternoon. You take what you can get. For me, it was a little unnerving, but I'm one of the slowest guys out there. I ended the day early in one piece.
