    Tires for 2012 Ninja 250R

Talk to Fawaz at Speedworx. He's very experienced with these bikes and can recommend a good tire for performance and cost (he's got the best tire deals around).

My 1st Dirtbike -- what size and what kind?

To prove a point to myself, on a small little moto-track I rode my bigger bike back to back with my brother's 2001 WR250 (my bike is exactly 10 years newer, bigger motor, and some bling in it lol). I was faster and more comfortable on the decade-old, oil-leak, sturdy-old Yammi-250 !! Missing my...

My 1st Dirtbike -- what size and what kind?

Talking purely offroad (double/single track, MX, hard enduro) 250cc is the way to go. That bike will make you happy when your new and a better rider, and still enjoy them when your more experienced. 450cc is just mean no matter who you are, but something to be considered if you really like...

Rear Wheel Bearing Seal (shaft seal ring) 2011 KTM 350sxf

Thanks for the further replies. Yeah I estimated the same, on the 3rd set at 100 hours. I imagine the first OEM set lasted a while and the All Ballz were the short-lived ones. Might be a sealing issue, the bike is not perfect (couple dents in the rims from rocks but still true and all spokes...

Rear Wheel Bearing Seal (shaft seal ring) 2011 KTM 350sxf

Thanks for all the replies guys. Yes, C4 C3 2Z ... and all that, went completely over my head. But from experience the all-balls weren't great, that's why I specifically paid more for the OEM KTM bearings made in Italy (STK?). Shop confirmed use the front wheel seals in the rear like previous...

Rear Wheel Bearing Seal (shaft seal ring) 2011 KTM 350sxf

Thanks for the reply. Think I'm okay for eating bearings, bike has 100 hours and starting the 3rd set in rear wheel (that's not bad for all rocky and wet enduro riding). Front wheel were original OEM from when new and they were still really good (I only replaced for good measure and since had...

Rear Wheel Bearing Seal (shaft seal ring) 2011 KTM 350sxf

Recently have been doing an bit of an overhaul on my 2011 KTM 350 sx-f Cairoli dirtbike (linkage bearings replaced, wheel bearings front and rear replaced, brakes all around, clutch flush and bleed, new chain sprockets chain guide, valve shims, etc). For my rear wheel, there was a badly rotten...

    Throttle/brake control through corners?

The hairpin going into the back straight at SMP is extreme late braking, yes would be completely off the throttle for a sec when trail braking to tip it in, while you hang off to make the turn, try and pickup the bike as soon as you can while opening the throttle smoothly at the same time (that...

    Suspension set up question

Best thing you can do is find someone who knows the lines at that track and willing to show you around. Follow and learn. Keep your mind free of distractions of set-up and what not.

    Discount Codes for GP Bikes?

I wouldn't go so cheap as to take a local shop's livelihood away. RC been around for a long time and they are good people and have done allot for the riding community. I don't think they would come to your work place and demand 30% off, but for sure negotiation is good to get value. From what...

    Seafoam?

I've never used sea form. I always have cleaned the carbs manually, shimmed valves etc. But I have wondered about this product for use as a "preventative" measure and might try it. I'm curious, wouldn't it make sense to run it through the system right before doing the oil change in case these is...

    Discount Codes for GP Bikes?

GP is great when they have the no tax sale. Dainese specifically, as 2 others have mentioned you can't beat the price or selection at Riders Choice. While you're there check out some of the really nice Rev'IT gear they carry.

    Yamaha XT250

Most fun on the trails would be a dedicated trail bike. Tires and suspension would be specific for the offroad conditions (dirt/mud/rocks/roots/ruts/sand). Any dirtbike can be pulled by a small car using a light duty trailer or even a hitch mounted carrier with no issues. Anything happen to the...

    Bolt extractors

Lots of good advice here. I'll give my cents. Recently had to do this twice. Best method for me was to drill a small whole right through the middle of the bolt (I had to be careful as my pin bolt was seated on the inside so knowing the depth was critical. For exhaust bolt might not be an...

    Opinions: Champion 2000W Inverter Generator

I had the 3000W champion (the nice camo-one that was on sale last year for $3XX.xx). I don't remember running out of gas before wrapping up a day and fully re-fueling. So fully day on the warmers at least. Very happy with the unit - starts easily and no issues. Quieter then I expected (but not...

    Tire pressure, and suspension setup

Buy Bickle if you want the best. Buy MotoD if you want cheap price (they're 'okay') +1 for having power trackside. Race ORG's and track owners should set-up a formal "fund" for the project. I would be on board as would many others that ride on the track I'm sure.
