    Tool Deals Thread

The reviews don't look too promising for the drill. But it's few and I suppose if people have a good experience with a product, they seldom come and post. I was looking for a cordless impact and a cordless drill myself. Might pull the trigger on this one.

Getting bike from Algonquin area to TO - Best Option

A buddy and I had rented a u-haul trailer. 19$ for the trailer but then additional 19$ for insurance. Does no one get the insurance while renting out a trailer?

    Riding an e-scooter in Toronto?

If the info in that thread is more or less accurate, it looks like the victim is looking for a big payday. Many years ago, my then landlord was sharing the story folks hanging around in walmart. If the floor is wet and there was not signage, they would walk through the aisle and fall over on...

    Covered Bridges Ride

Looks like a fun trip Shane. Thanks for the write up and pics. I haven't been on Chetwynd Road yet, so good opportunity for me to head north again. Glad you made it back safe. How were the roads in Mount Laurier? On the maps, they all look twisty and fun. Also, laughed out when I read you...

    TMP vs. SMP

Been to TMP once for a car track day, wasn't a very pleasant experience due to how it was organized. The track itself can be fun. Not sure how good RDT is, never done their track days.

I was told by the Aprilia guy that the line up started before 8 am. Aprilias were definitely popular.

What to expect when attending CBSK race day

Nice to meet some of you folks there...was a pretty good day. Parked my bike at corner 2 and walked around till corner 4 watching the race from different spots. Retrospectively should have rode the bike around instead of walking. It's kind of crazy to see the speeds the superbikes carry through...

Dyno rd/ #9 and Monck rd road cond?

I rode on 6 a couple of times...been a few seasons though. Decent roads but it's not fun from what I remember. I see them as means to get to Northeys Bay road (or back). YMMV

    What's your reason

You should consider buying a couple of dirt bikes and riding around the trails with your kids when they're able to ride. Trailer it to different places and make it a family thing. Fun way to connect with them and keep riding as well.

What to expect when attending CBSK race day

Planning to head there on Sun. Will most likely be riding, forecast doesn't show any signs of rain. I used to volunteer for timing during race weekends at mosport and shannonville pre-covid for a couple of years...feels like ages ago. Happy to meet up, watch races together if there's interest.

    Insurance is coming up

I believe it's tied to the risk. The risk of loss of life, injury is higher - hence the premium. Not saying whether it's right or wrong, just my general understanding.

    What's your reason

For me it was the thrill of going fast, I was 12 or so when I rode the first time...and I crashed riding too fast through a gravel road without knowing where the brakes were. I had access to small cc 2-strokes (like RS100) and smaller displacement vehicles in general, which were fun to ride...

Dealer proximity and bike choice...thoughts or experiences.

I have always relied on private mechanics, indie garages for maintenance. Dealership services and experience is always a hit or miss in my personal opinion. I also have never bought a new bike, ever lol.

FAST riding school - where to stay / ride report?

Shannonville right? There are a number of motels/hotels in Belleville and Greater Napanee. My personal preference is Napanee. There's a motel 3 km from the track, I haven't personally stayed there so can't offer any reviews. I have stayed at Fox Motor Inn in Napanee and found it to be good. I...
