My current riding jeans are some discontinued Joe Rocket model with an externally accessible pocket for the knee armour. The are lots of similar things on Instagram and Alibaba which are very likely junk. I'm not recommending any specific brand or model, but the form factor is convenient because you can just pull the armour out when you get to your destination. I've always found rubber armour right against my skin to be the hottest part of the whole deal. The kevlar liner is still warm, but bearable when the armour is out.
