I sometimes have that problem as well. In the case of the CVMG rally, she now remembers to ask me first about "that Saturday in June", and to make plans accordingly.Wife has already booked six things for this weekend. I barely have time to breathe. Have fun.
I had Blue Mountains Cider festival in the calendar. She looked at calendar and booked a bunch of people for dinner. No cider festival for me.I sometimes have that problem as well. It was a good event and a nice venue, and yeah they really need to sort the parking and use more of the fair grounds. Perhaps the parking could be done through the first entrance to the site.Very impressed with the venue in Burford. Good time looking at all the 2 smokers, shook hands with Speedy (ouch).
They have to do something about parking or they won’t be back. Residents were NOT happy.
Parking should be done like Dover or big golf tournaments.Rent a farmers field nearby to park in and ferry people to and from the site in school buses.Except for accessible parking, which should be onsite.B has a permit, but we were told they only had a few spots. All taken early. It was a good event and a nice venue, and yeah they really need to sort the parking and use more of the fair grounds. It seemed busier than recent years on Saturday, so perhaps the change in venue brought more people than usual.
As for the little no parking signs, I expect it was done for safety in keeping the road accessible by emergency vehicles as opposed to "old entitled folks". At the same time the people who live there are as entitled to quiet enjoyment of their properties as anybody else so even if it wasn't safety related I don't have a problem with it.
The remote parking for cars and trucks is a good idea. We went to the Maple festival in Warkworth back in March and that's how they did it as there wasn't enough parking available at the sugarbush.Parking should be done like Dover or big golf tournaments.Rent a farmers field nearby to park in and ferry people to and from the site in school buses.Except for accessible parking, which should be onsite.B has a permit, but we were told they only had a few spots. All taken early.
I would be surprised if Burford has the event next year. The next town council meeting will be fun!
