These speed limit reductions are getting out of hand

Ambulances used to use The Bridal Path to get to Sunnybrook but speed bumps made that risky so it's five or ten minutes longer for a critical case.
Good justification for fancy suspension for ambulances. Heavy body and lots of suspension travel should be able to take speed bumps at the limit with minimal patient impact. They already spend a fortune on fitout, throwing some money at a baja/prerunner outfit seems like a worthy upgrade.

I was thinking about deliberately noisy suspensions and squeaky brakes. Lots of squeaks and a noisy vrooms at every bump. All night.

I use the train. Easy peasy. Screw driving down there.

Which reminds me, I have to go down there with the truck and trailer to get valve checks done for the RSV4 track bike. Going to call Pro6 first and see if they have experience with them, but it's also not in the very best spot.
Isn't there someone useful near Ottawa? I'd rather drive north than west.

As for train, we've thought about it but damn, it takes so long. About 1:40-2:35 on the train from Barrie to union. Add driving to the barrie station and time from union to destination and it's much slower than driving. If I drove down to King West right now it is under 1:30 door to door. Tickets at $30/pp round trip and it's much more expensive than driving and parking if you have more than one person. Realistically, train is approximately double the time and money of driving. Ouch.

From Kingston, it takes about another hour each way than driving, but that depends on what time you try and drive downtown. As often as not I'm on par with time and a LOT happier when I get there than when I've spent an hour in door to door stopped traffic on the 401 and the Don Valley.

I've got to do this soon, the 911 needs maintenance and a new A/C condenser, it took a stone. Short of paying for a friend's fuel to pick me up at the dealership both times, this is the best solution for me. I used to go to Ottawa, but Mark Motors proved to me that they cannot handle my business. They failed to start work on my car at 8am when I arrived as per schedule three times and that's the charm... driving my car home without work completed twice and one of their Macans once for a few days because they ran out of time after squandering mine is no bueno. I forced them to take all my information out of their database as per the law, I was so ******.

Yeah, not an option up here in Orangeville. We have a GO Bus, but it operates very few trips on weekdays and only once or twice a day on weekends. In order to get to a GO Train station I'd have to drive to Brampton or Georgetown, then park, wait for the train and pay for a ticket. Between the cost and time involved it's actually quicker and less expensive to drive the entire way. Fortunately there is nothing that I need to see or attend that would make me want to drive down there anymore.

In Brampton they just vandalize or destroy speed cameras 🤷‍♂️

Facts

It is quite hilarious to see their bike lanes sit empty 90% of the time, or only to be used by food delivery drivers 🤣

Studio Cycle.

Dundas St. is a crap shoot. Best pro tip is to park your truck and trailer on Medland St. just to the west of Studio. Either immediately before, or immediately after the Green P parking lot, you'll find lots of room for truck and trailer loading and unloading, unless another delivery truck, or me, are already there :)
