Sounds like a typical gsxr about to drop a valve....the keepers get pulled through the retainers which are made of aluminum on this model (hard anodized) and now the retainer is sitting high and the shim is buried in the retainer and the bucket is sitting directly the retainer and NOT the shim...

I was at z1 last spring and they had an italian apprentice mechanic that was learning the Ducati's but he doesn't work there anymore. Those guys are Z1 are very picky and Z won't let any screw ups slide so apparently he had to let the mechanic go... not sure what his name was. Z himself has...

Google is your friend!!! type motorcycle tuning toronto and it'll give you your choices....I personally deal with Zed at Z1 and his tuning experience is second to none (imo) over the years he has tuned 3 bikes for me and I have no complaints whatsoever and they have a proper wideband load...

He's a Good mechanic with shady business ethics....I won't go into details or the the other people I personally know that have had similar $$$ problems with him but just bare this in mind when doing business. Joe

After reading this review this afternoon, I was totally zonked. I have been dealing with Z1 for years now with not a bad experience and over the years zaid has become a friend and i have written more than a couple of positive reviews about z1 in this forum. I decided to go into the shop at 6.30...

A friend of mine has a DL1000 and he had the same surging issues (apparently they all do) he tried everything over the years with no resolve. After building my motor a couple of years ago I had my PC tuned on the Dyno at Z1 and the difference was night and day so I convinced him to do the same...

Is your gas tank off the bike or the fuel pump disconnected. There are only three error codes in that pathetic diagnostic system. One is for exup second is for disconnected fuel pump and honestly I can't remember the third one. Joe
