I don't think it's an issue. All motorcycle gear will have some reflectiveness somewhere. You don't want to creep up on cagers or speed around them. You'll want to be careful and not try anything stupid. White Helmets is very helpful too, I found that having a reflective mirror visor helps bring...
What engine is this ? year? This sounds almost shocking, but the 300 is a pretty solid car when i had one for a rental. Floats around but definitely a solid car.
I wouldn't hesitate to consolidate into a Vstrom. Those are extremely capable bikes ... i spend a lot of time on advrider and i'll tell you that the vstrom and dr is probably the most popular bikes over there.
2k might be a good price point. You'll get a little below that, but the key is to making sure the bike has maint documentation. I was gonna pick one up for 2.5 with about 8k miles a while ago... just to put it in perspective.
Great choice. I've been wanting one of those forever... I don't think you'll have much luck on here but check out adv rider forums they got tons of people who can show you the ropes of riding off road
