My daily is a 2009 Aprilia RS125 which is a carb'd 2 stroke. If I don't ride it for about 2 weeks, it becomes very hard to start. But if I try (and often fail) and then let it sit for awhile and come back, it starts instantly. I presume this is from the fuel evaporating from the float bowl...

Seems like this was it. Worked when boosted. I thought my friend tested this before I asked since it was my first suggestion and they kept asking after. 🤷‍♂️

Unfortunately Alleycat is out of commission due to a riding accident where he broke his hip. Based on the email I got he should be fine but won't be working for awhile.

Anyone know what's involved in changing the fork oil on my RS125? It's got about 14000 km on it and it hasn't been changed since 2009 so probably overdue. AF1 Racing told me I need to change the bushings, as well, which are discontinued and only available from Europe (and are super expensive...

Thanks! What's kind of funny to me is if you use their oil selector and put in this bike it specifies their hypoid gear oil which it specifically says it not for wet clutches.

Bringing my old thread back from the dead. Not sure what I ended up with but I never did really resolve the clutch dragging issue. Haven't really noticed it for a few years now but it was really bad yesterday so I started thinking I need to change the fluid again (it's been years) and again...

I had the Goretex version of these. Looks like they improved them with more ankle bracing in your pic. With mine, I had a VERY minor crash at like 40 kph and managed to get a small ankle fracture. Plus they absolutely sucked to walk in.

I like everything you said here except for anything about the Fiat. Had one as a rental and while it was fine for that and I might enjoy booting around town in one for a day here and there, I wouldn't want to own one.
