No it's for 11 months. No insurance company will take after I crashed my 2007 Ninja 250 back in 2018 of July. The only company was ALPHA insurance brokers. If anyone knows a company who will take someone who hasn't crashed in 2 years that would be great. I'm considered high risk so no one will...
You a very right sir. I should've just got a smaller bike if I wanted cheaper insurance but I already have "bumblebee" so why get rid of something I already named. Have a great day.
I read my last post and it was more of a shower thought than anything. I felt like I was trapped because I couldn't have fun on the bike without worrying it would get damaged (which it ended up anyways). I did have a chat with my folks in the last 26 minutes.
I decided that I will keep my 2009...
I plan to put steel lines on the front. And I seen some forums about Brembo brakes on their GT650r motorcycles. Also the suspension has to be adjusted to fit the motor anyways since it set soft for the weight of the 250 motor.
Yes at high speeds (110kph to 120kph) it vibrates violently. Vs when I just got it. So yeah someone backing into my bike did end up damaging the spring inside the mirror. I would have to pay over $60 to replace that mirror that should be part of the claims.
Oh wow sorry to hear that. I did only plan to ride it for 2 years then tell them about the engine swap. I would stay away from main roads and I won't even go on the highway unless absolutely necessary. I just can't afford the high insurance anymore. I will own up to it if anything happens.
I did have a Ninja 250 you see my username? It's the reason my insurance is so high someone brake checked me on Hurontario road by the drive test centre (ironic right?). My bike still ran but needed alot of TLC. By the time I repaired anything my parents suggested I get a newer bike because they...
If I crash the bike I will repair it myself. I plan to keep this gt250r so when insurance becomes cheaper I will tell them about the engine swap. So for the 2 years I would stay away from main roads at all times
Very good points however the insurance company I have is very ignorant compared to the last one I was with. They go by cc and not the class of motorcycle which is very annoying since my motorcycle is not a super sport. Also they don't speak to the public when my 2009 fz6r got backed into last...
Sorry for the late reply been busy with exams. I decided it would be safer to just buy a already made motor from a crashed vfr750 near my house. The motor is very compact and the bike is carbureted so I don't have to worry about a ECU. I'm doing this mainly because I'm 21 and insurance on a...
Thanks for the advice! I talked around and threw the idea of making my own crank when there is a crashed bike shop near me that sells engines. And the one engine they had was a VFR750 engine with only 50,000kms. The engine is so compact and the fact that the GT250r has the frame from the GT650r...
