Yup, I am virtually in exactly the same profile and bike as you are. Got a insurance hike on the bike coming up with TD MM at $380 more than a year ago.
I have been with TD MM for the last 8-9 years and I think it is now the time to shop around.
Had almost the same thing happen to me in Quebec, was doing around 110 km/hr and a hornet flew out the forest, across the road as I was approaching. Felt like I was targeted well in advance, took less than a third-of-a second for this bugger to sting me in a small open section of my neck as I...
I got the same crappy tire plug kit -> (not the mushroom head one you linked to).
So far I had these plugs work flawlessly but I will be looking online for the same but portable version, where the handle is of a tube shape and the rest packs inside - takes way less room.
I also found a USB backup battery very useful for when you are in your tent and want to charge your phone up.
Got a 5200mAh one from Tiger direct - can charge two devices at the same time (helped me with 2 sena's on a trip..)
I head over to recycle room, grab a few carboards to lay down under and round the bike, grab my tools and a roller chair -> head to my parking spot.
Needless to say, be nice and polite - my neighbors are great.
Congrats! Brings memories back when I had to do mine at the same location!
Oh and lucky for you this guy was not like deer - jumping in front of you as you are nearing :))
A lot of good points but so far I have not seen anyone mention the fact that there's no passing on the right in EU.
With stricter enforcement and no passing on the right there's a lot to be gained in safety and speed.
Nice route! I have taken it with friends to Thunder Bay and back to Wawa (must be the coldest place as I saw frost in the morning in August), if you are lucky you will not even see a single car when going towards Chapleau - for me that was priceless.
That's right! I'd love to see a modern remake of Magna V65 / V45 - there's nothing exciting to test ride in the V4 department. Voting for a twin until a nice V4 is reborn :)
This just it - some people need to be reminded of common rules and courtesy to others, others need to be screamed at. Great post and even better story.
perhaps it's time for a first sticker to go on a cage.
Mina - very tasteful and nice bikes in those pictures! very well done.
GateKeeper - I hear exactly what you are saying, I guess this is more for a proud owner than a wallet, the two do not always go together. Have a friend who powder-coated his bicycle frame - in all fairness he used it...
