I just talked to Scott again - last time I talked to him was Sunday and he had not been able to resolve the situation at that time.
He has since then been in touch with MotoD and had success in reaching a solution.
Scott Forgie has a set of the MotoD warmers that quit shorty after he got them, he has not been able to get satisfaction from MotoD as of yet.
I'd spend my $300 on a set of programmable ones that give you the temp that the tires at instead.

Whoever I talked to on the phone was offered it to be run only for them. I don't know if it was you or your friend, but they were very upset that I suggested that running in the rain would be unwise, so I offered to do it only for them in an attempt to make things better.
Trackdays do run in the rain. I decided to call off the school as riding in the rain is not fun and slippery.
