I don't have any pre-existing injuries on my ankles nor knees. So the best way to protect myself is a good motorcycle boots with a knee/shin guard, not those knee braces?

I'm also looking for a knee protection that I can wear under or over my jeans. It doesn't matter if it's bulky or not, cause I'm gonna take them out when I'm not on my bike.

Isn't the knee guard/brace what it's suppose to be? Bulky and protecting your knee from being forced sideways. Why would you not consider them practical for road use? Because it is too bulky? Any advice would be very appreciated. I want some good protections that will actually protect...
