Right - for general lapping, side stand has to be tied up or removed.
For the Intro to Track School, no such requirement.
It's getting closer, people! Last Intro to Track School of the year!
Weather forecast looks bad right now but it's Cayuga - when's the last time the forecast was...
In response to the question regarding having a camera mounted on the bike for the Surviving the Streets course:
Shouldn't be a problem, as long as the camera is mounted securely and there are no loose wires, etc. The tech inspector will have final say over this but I don't forsee any problem...
Re: "Sorry, there are no Honda Motorcycle Dealers in Toronto, Ontario." What is going
There's a lot of truth behind this 'brand' issue. The Japanese car manufacturers recognized this and each created their own 'premium' brand - Acura, Infinity, Lexus...
Creating a new 'brand' is extremely...
Those training courses at TMP are happening again this year... both "Intro to Track" and "Surviving the Streets":

Peace.
There's a few things you can try for dealing with a dead battery. Two are quick and one is slow.
1. Try a bump start. Some people recommend using second gear. Anyway, turn the ignition on, make sure the kill switch is set to run, etc., and put the bike in gear. With your buddy on his bike...
This service is offered at many track days / by many organizers.
Which organizer to choose (and the level of instruction) depends whether you're interested in racing or 'just' enjoying track day riding. If you want 1-on-1 racing coaching, probably Racer5 or Turn2 track days are what you're...
Had a great time! Definitely a hot day and what with only two groups running, I had plenty of track time.
The kart track was fast indeed, the straight and turn 1 especially were plenty high speed. I got it down to 56.43 seconds but some dude named Rupert managed it a little (ok, a lot)...
Yes.
Chris and Donald bring their tire changer, etc., and an assortment of tires. They'll mount tires you bring or sell you a set at a (imho) very reasonable rate. You might want to send Donald (toastman) an email to see whether he's got the brand / model you want.
Peace.
Normally bad form to reply to one's own post but there's been a very nice development...
Updated information on the Forest City Honda website indicates the hours have changed and for the better!

Gates open at 7:00 am
Tech inspection 7:30...
Agreed.
If the first few GBM track days are successful, we might be able to convince them to run the days longer. And hopefully open the gates a bit earlier, too.
(Gates open at 9 am and on track at 10 am doesn't leave much time for setup, tech inspection, riders meeting, etc.)
For that...
Just signed up for the track day at GBM being put on by Forest City Honda on Saturday, July 23.
Check out the info here: http://www.osrclub.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=27882.0
Gates open at 9 am, get on track at 10 am. A bit of a short day but for $100 +tax, you can't go wrong.
Sounds like...
Tech requirements for TMP Track Days are found at the following link:
http://www.torontomotorsportspark.com/images/File/Motorcycle-Tech-%282011%29-OW.pdf
The document shows 17 items (list on pages 2 and 3) and notes that the first 3 items are the most common for failing inspection. But all 17...
I don't know for sure but this is a TMP day, so it seems unlikely.
The Guys running the track day sell & mount tires.
It's late notice (so he probably won't be able to order in exactly what you want), but you might send an email to info@platinum-powersports.com to let Donald know what size...
