There is a thread on here about how to check your stator for this particular generation. You'll need a multimeter to check the voltage on the battery to confirm whether it's the stator or rectifier. More than likely it's your stator. If you want to visually check it, you can take off the cover...

I'm open to most standard or naked bikes. Insurance would drop 800 just from going from the zx6r to a new generation z1000. Key aspects probably are: Has to be fuel injected, decent power, and above all else, a great buy. I think i'm looking for a unicorn.

I need a great deal to pop up and have someone trade me for my 09 zx6r. I need a non SS in my life. Ugh... this insurance just gets higher each year.

Thanks! However after checking the product code, it seems it is unavailable at PA. Direct from the mfr is a good idea, but I'd like to buy it at a deeper discount.
