Peak Design - 40% Off Sale Motorcycle Mounts

How many of you guys with Cardos still use a phone mount? I've thought about getting a phone mount in the past but I can already change songs hands free or listen to navigation prompts through my speakers so I always end up deciding against it. I guess the only real benefit would be being able...

    AGV helmets

The non S is the older version. The S is the newest version which meets ECE 22.06.

    AGV helmets

Have a plain white (with blue visor!) K6 S. Love it! Light, comfortable, and a great field of view. With earplugs I don't find the noise to be an issue at all. Paid about $650 all in (incl. duty, shipping etc.) for the helmet and visor last year from Champion Helmets.

Toronto Motorcycle and Powersports Show - Feb 14-16

I was there today as well and also got a pair from Ryan. The Big Ear prices were in USD?! He quoted me $300 for a filtered pair and I thought that was ridiculous, and I assumed it was CAD at the time :ROFLMAO: Holy moly!

Toronto Motorcycle and Powersports Show - Feb 14-16

Appreciate that guys. I see the filtered ones are about twice the price on Big Ear's site, so I'm assuming you both got solid ones? Any feedback on how they work with a Cardo/Sena? I don't need speakers in them, but my understanding is the filtered ones would be better to use with my Cardo...

    What bike is this?

Toronto Motorcycle and Powersports Show - Feb 14-16

I'm also thinking of getting a set of custom filtered earplugs done at the show. I see that Big Ear (mentioned above) and Hearing Protection Ontario (also mentioned above) will both be there. Anyone have any feedback on one of those vs the other? or custom filtered earplugs in general? Foam I...

Best way to get started riding track?

I did FAST phases 1 and 2 this year and loved it, so much so that I'm planning to go back for phase 3 and 4 next year. I wore my own helmet, but otherwise their bikes and gear. I learned so much and I gained a ton of confidence. I've been slowly putting together a set of gear so I can wear my...

    Best airbags of 2024

In & Motion (the makers of airbag systems in the Klim, RST etc. vests) have a guide here to help determine if your current jacket(s) will fit. Personally I use the Klim vest and I have been buying Alpinestars jackets that they label "Tech Air compatible"...

    Best airbags of 2024

I have the Klim vest. I know everyone likes to hate on it because of the subscription model but even including a lifetime subscription, it's still cheaper than the electronic Helite, plus it can be worn under a jacket. Unlike the Dainese and Alpinestars vests, the Kilm vest also puffs up above...

Starter cruiser bikes and dealer vs private

Totally different bikes but I'm really glad I started on something a bit bigger (SV650) vs some of the 250-400s I was initially considering. In the same way that starting on a 200hp sport bike would hinder your learning, I think the same can be said for something really low powered. Constantly...

    XSR900 vs. STriple 765

That's totally fair. I didn't even consider the triple for the longest time because I didn't like the headlights either. My previous bike was a gen 3 SV650 and I was always of the opinion a "proper" motorbike should have a round headlight. Somehow it just grew on me though. I'm surprised you...

    XSR900 vs. STriple 765

Made an account just to comment on this! I cross shopped both these bikes in the spring and ended up going with a 2024 765 R in crystal white. I was heavily leaning toward the XSR because of perceived reliability and extra torque. I sat on them both back to back at the bike show and all the...
