Looks to me the Harley ran out of ground clearance, peg grinds rider stands it up and uses the guardrail as a berm. Following rider target fixates. Hooray group rides...
The Bridgestone BT 023 that my 2014 FJR came equipped with had plenty of grip but wore out fast. I picked up some PR4's but haven't spooned them on yet...
I buy best gear I can afford. Comfortable, protective, and properly fit is more important than colour.
I actually wear all black...black helmet and bike too. A jumble of colours in indistinguishable shapes and patterns is what you call camouflage. No matter the colour. Me as a monolithic...
Well I've done some research and some shopping around. I'm getting the distinct feeling that I should just STFU, get back in line, and pay. There's nothing I can do...it is what it is.
The system is broken with corruption on all sides
I can't wrap my head around the $75 difference between the FJR and the FZ 07 The thing is 3x the bike of the little Fizzer. A beast in comparison...3x the weight 3x the power 3x the cost and 3x the rider ability required
The FZ 07 is no Sportbike. In fact for someone who has a little dirtbike experience, I'd say its a great first road bike. Super easy to ride and enuff power for North American roads and crap drivers...but I digress
Who decides which Motos get the Sportbike / SuperSport treatment? If its the...
My FJR1300es costs me $1100 per year. The rate on my FZ 07 is going from $690 to $1025...apparently because its a Sportsbike now. My Ducati S2R1000 is blacklisted because its "exotic" up here in Sudbury...so it has to be insured as a "high risk". The Sportster $900 per year. I don't finance...
Well including dirtbikes I've got 40 years experience. I've taken advanced rider training, done FAST, enjoy track days... In 30 years of licensed riding / driving I've had ZERO claims and 3 speeding tickets...no points gained. Why should I suffer black listed bikes and jack up premiums?
For me its things like fairings, clip ons, rearsets, rake & trail...motorcycle geometry and rider position. And manufacture marketing. So what makes a Yamaha FZ 07 a Sportbike? It doesn't even share any DNA with a Sportbike!
Seems to me, if its not chrome and 700 pounds then its a...
Its the OEM tire. Cooler temps I was running 36psi. That and the asphalt in parts Northern ontario is more abrasive...plus dragging peg feelers on a 700lbs Moto prolly isn't conducive to great tire mileage
I ride both. A Ducati S2R1000 with Arrow carbons and a FJR1300 with stock cans. Between the rattle of the clutch and the boom from the pipes it gets noticed more and getting noticed saves lives. I've had a few close calls on the FJR...its waaay too quiet. Worst incident was with a CN worker...
Thanks for the input guys! I think I'll try the Pirelli Angels...
The suspension on my bike awesome. A flick of the switch and is adjusted to riding conditions. It's gotta be air pressure ...I was running between 36 and 38 psi up front...or riding style. This is my first sport touring Moto...
