Has anyone had any experience with Cycleworx? They're the closest to downtown. I can get Diablo Rosso III for $350 and if I can get installation for $100 I'll be happy.
Do you guys think it's a good idea to change tires myself? I really don't want to, but some places are charging $200 to change a set of tires on the bike. Have you guys used any shops in Toronto that charge less? I'd be willing to buy the tires from them too(assuming it's near what Pete's sells...
Hi guys,
I've been having a tough time finding something that fits me well(6'2, 180lbs) and I'd really prefer to avoid having to buy a custom suit. I've tried size 54 euro in A* and Dainese and it isn't too loose but I'm getting a lot of pressure on the knees when opening up my legs in the...
I'm 6'3" and started on a CBR500. The Ninja 300 pales in comparison, trust me. Its tank also hits you right at the knees. I had it for 3 years and finally moved to a Street Triple after I maxed out its capabilities(scraping pegs all the time, track days, etc.). It's easily the best beginner...
FYI the bike was written off and I was able to keep it plus ~$7k so not too bad of a result. Also, it was branded as None, which means I can insure it and it is street legal.
Do you guys know if a repair shop will ever let you keep the old parts they replace on your bike? Some have pretty minor scratches and I'd like to have them for my own projects.
Has anyone had any experience with insurance companies writing bikes off? The damage estimate with labour is around $7k, so I'm worried they'll write off the bike even though there's no structural damage, just cosmetic. Would I be able to buy it off them at that point and for how much usually...
Thanks so much guys, I decided to file a no fault claim. Speaking with the lady on the phone, she had no problem putting it in as a hit and run and just telling me to get the witnesses' contact information. I'll sadly have to pay $500, but the damage looks like at least 2k so should be worth it...
Well I don't think I'll ever be in an at fault accident so if this one is tough to prove then I'd rather use it, but obviously I'll try not to. Also, what is the process here? I take it to my mechanic and he gives them an estimate on how much it will cost to fix? I'd prefer to fix it myself so...
Well this happened just outside my work and a guy the floor above me took a pic of the laid down bike and I'm sure I could get him to confirm that it was an accident.
Also, I think TD has forgiveness on first claim so I may be good after all!
My deductible is $500, but if my insurance goes up by $500 a year for the next 10 years then I guess I need to suck it up. Just the bent exhaust is $800, plus it might hurt resale value when I have scratches on fork and even rear peg. Has anyone here actually made a claim before, how were your...
