You say no codes on dash,have you checked for codes in the ECU(history or current)using flash or the scan tool.Has the FI light ever come on that you may have seen or not seen?

Warming -up the bike on the choke for 5min is too long,no air passing by the pipes will not cool so at night more noticable glowing red. The bang when turned off is from un-burnt fuel in exhaust. Warm the bike up with choke for a few minutes and let idle when temp guage moves your ready to move.

Had the same 600r,great bike other than regular maintance,valve adjustments,clutch and tires.Sold it with 70k's and from what I hear still running strong..

Go for the 2012 zx14,I'm partial to zx12r's older but still very quick with a few mods and yes a Big Bike. I frequent this site Kawasakiworld.com

I also have the same problem with the chock,had to modify the rear of the pivot to not touch the lower fairing.As for pulling the bike out of the chock no problem,,

I have used the dpars.com(ColorRite) green paint,pint to spray a couple of fairings and the pen for small scratches,pen works ok but for the colour match can't tell the difference.
