I live right around the corner, in a nice part of the area and this is terrifying. I ride there all the time and the notion that someone would do that during broad daylight is unbelievable. Sure hope the rider is okay soon. Whoevers responsible deserved to have their kneecaps crushed publicly...

I drove by the accident scene this AM - there is a terrible collection of badly patched potholes in the centre lane right before the skid marks. I've stuggled over those bumps a couple of times already this year and now avoid that lane altogether. I can easily imagine how you'd be jostled...
