I was coming back from Sarnia (visiting family). Didn't want to take any of the highway to worked out an alternate route. :)

I ran into a bike marathon this summer coming north to Ailsa Craig. Passed a couple people on the side of the road who had a hose to spray water on the riders (it was one of the most humid points in the summer) popped open...
Had random bits of road/stones hit my feet (ICON boots) but nothing bad enough to make me really notice so far. Those same boots saved me some level of ankle injury from a couple falls during training.
A stone or big bug hit my knee in jeans once, that felt like someone jammed a needle in there...
This is my first season but for the next several years I have written off even considering taking my bike into the GTA. I don't need to get into Toronto very much so it isn't a big deal. This only supports my decision really.

I don't even get out of work until 6 and have to head home first. I'll be after 6:30 for sure and need to get gas. :rolleyes:
