Yeah i thought today is my death day. My bike is slightly hydroplaning with almost zero visibility and trucks passing and spraying like crazy. It felt like the fire department hosing me off the highway. I have ridden through rain but today is crazy
I did a.research on what you have suggested. It makes perfect sense. Maybe I should just forget extracting the code. A second key would suffice.
Thanks.
He told me I only have one key and I didn't know about the immobilizer and code card after a week. That was totally my fault for not doing research.
That's good to hear that the immobilizer does not really trip.*Although some forums say it happens. It feels like a gamble of getting stuck...
Thanks for confirming. I bought the bike used about a couple of months ago from a guy in kitchener. He only have one black key left. I messaged him but no reply so I assume that he does not have the code anymore. Hence I'm trying to find other ways.
I have read on other forums that if you do not have the code and the immobilizer malfunctions then youll get stuck. It happens a often when its cold and it rains. The code is needed to bypass the immobilizer. Is this true? Or a coded key can bypass it too?
Wow that's a good deal. Thanks.
Ducati's give out code card when you purchase, they don't even have an archive with the codes. If the owner loose the card. He/she is SOL.
#" Not familiar with this bike. Does it have a pin code on your display when you start up? #"
Unfortunately the previous owner only have one black key and lost the other. I beleive 2011 only uses the code card. I already went to Duc Dealer and i was told that chances are i have to replace the ecu and other things wich would sum up close to $3500.
Do you know approximately how much he charges for a cloned key?
QUOTE=MPS;2238165]ducati dealers wont help you get the key code
