even if carbs are out of whack it'll still start up okay and run...try battery again, maybe replace it completely

from my experience i wouldnt worry about it unless it sounds like metal rattling in your engine ;P the washer that goes with the filter isnt necessary...i never saw one when i bought my bike and havent used one after 4-5 oil changes. for the buzzing...check your fairings and make sure theres...
