    Rosey Toes - Ted retiring

Tell me, I had 30yrs of that annual shitshow of refusal when your horn decides not to work on test day, or your reflectors are missing, or in the opinion of the tester, your exhaust is a wee bit too loud. We all know what's important on our bikes for safety and make sure it's up to scratch...

    Motorcycle Rallies??

Nope, but having beer and music on tap for 2 days, without having to ride home until Sunday is right up my street.

Getting Ontario registration for 'custom' motorcycle

I've partly been through the process, owning a custom bike with custom built frame, but no VIN. I went down Service Ontario and they had to call Ottawa for direction. Now this isn't you, because you have a VIN, but for me to get a VIN (starting with HOM for home built), I need either an...

Anyone in Toronto with TuneECU / Knowledge?

Maybe not, but that was the point I lost the connection and you need it for the following 15mins when you run the bike after you download the tune.

Anyone in Toronto with TuneECU / Knowledge?

Yes, I kept a battery tender on and had to remove the headlight fuse. Just had to keep reconnecting over and over for about 1/2hr until for some reason it finally connected, and loaded the tune. Then you have to run the bike for 15mins, but first time I forgot to re-install the fuse and it...

Anyone in Toronto with TuneECU / Knowledge?

I installed a TTP tune on my Bonneville last year. It uses TuneECU with a Windows laptop. The instructions are prety straightforward, but I found the OBD II cable and software very sensitive to battery voltage in order to make a connection. Took many failed attempts before I got there.

Correct. You can register a home built frame with an affadavit from the builder and a bill of sale.

Got a UK insurance quote out of curiosity...

The UK has a lot more competition plus you deal directly with the insurance company cutting out the broker.

Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

I'd say you could ride that for about an hour (maybe a bit less at my age), which is better than having it as a work of art in your private collection.

TBH you see an increasing number of these on Bikexif these days. They've become quite popular and I'll admit I've slowly grown to like them . Never a bad thing giving an old bike a new lease of life.

Looking for a cheap appraiser for vintage insurance

I went through this last year with my Laverda to get classic insurance. There was a cheap guy on Kijiji from Barrie but he didn't respond and no longer on there. In the end I stumped up the $250 to Maurice Bramhall @ Associates and ended up telling the guy what to value it at.
