I think it’s less about frequency and more about severity. Lithium battery fires are notoriously difficult to extinguish and can reignite long after you think they’re out.

I’ve been riding motorcycles for 37 years now. I live in Toronto. An earbud falling on the pavement is the least of my worries 😂

I’m not sure I’ve ever dropped my earplugs, so I think I can manage. Do you have kids? Do they crawl around on the ground and play in the schoolyard where inconsiderate people walk their dogs? You’ll survive 😂

Risk accepted….my earplugs have come out as well. If they’re not $300-$400 I’m ok with that. I’ll try and catch them 😂

I’ve literally been looking for some earbuds as well…tempted to give the Ankers above a go…or Plugfones. The Plugfones get some crappy reviews on Amazon, so not sure which option I should go for! These would be for my helmets that don’t have Cardo/JBL speakers and for general around the house use.

Combine the above with our overcrowded highways/roads and drivers who may or may not have obtained their license legitimately and it’s a recipe for disaster.
