The engine is hella entertaining, once you hit 8k rpm, hold on to your butts. It stumbles at 5k a bit. Its a bit buzzy at higher rpms and quite a noisey bike at idle.

I would start to get uncomfortable on the stock seat in an hour, unbearably so in 2. Went with the Shad seat, can go for many hours without an issue. The 2013 has adjustable front and rear suspension which the previous years didn't, but still both are somewhat soft, which can be fixed for 60$...

Finally the goodies arrived, felt like christmas! Was a pain in the butt to get on, but the whole system is very sharp looking, light, and lots of cargo space. Just need few things installed at the shop (Front springs, SS lines, headlights, tires) and I'm good to go.

Went with the Shadseat after getting a very nice deal from them for the top case and the seat because they didn't have the gold trim available. The Corbin has fitting issues with the FZ8 and turned me off from them as well as the fact it changes the seating position to a more relaxed one, still...

Me and a few buds trailered dirtbikes to some industrial areas, got the cops called on us, cops came, proved we trailered the bikes here and had no intention of riding them on the roads, and left us alone to do our thing. Depends on the cop though, so be careful.

When I spoke with them, you can have all your cases on, 1/4 fuel tank. I don't think you need to worry about the bike coming lose in transit as that's a HUGE safety hazard. You can also pack the casesif you tell them whats in them.
