2009 Vulcan 900 Custom colour code

Thanks. This is the label I found under the seat, it doesn't seem to have the colour code or maybe I don't know how to read it. Is it typically a sticker just for the paint or is there other stuff on it also?

2009 Vulcan 900 Custom colour code

I have some scrathes on the tank that I'd like fixed and painted over. The guy at the body shop said no problem, but he needs to know the colour code. Does anyone know how to figure it out? The marketing name for it is Burnt Orange, but I don't know if there's a more trade-standard code for it...

    Toronto to Hudson's bay

That's what I was planning to do, but then as I was cutting it and I had pieces all over the place I could no longer remember which was which and just used whatever :) Annoyingly - once you cut the pipe the burr makes it very hard to tell how thick the pipe is, so comparing them just by looking...

    Toronto to Hudson's bay

Heh :) I tried a little bit to make sure I use the thickest copper available, but I kept getting confused which colour writing was supposed to be thicker copper. It's hard to see after you cut it because the cut makes it look thicker than it is. So I just used whatever. Probably the cheap stuff...

    Toronto to Hudson's bay

Interesting! But it seems too good to be true :) http://chemistry.about.com/b/2013/06/08/dryer-sheets-to-detail-your-car.htm Don't know who to believe... Reminds me to wax the bike, it's overdue.

    Adjusting a streetlight sensor

Thanks for the tip kruzuki, I was wondering why I'm not finding anything useful :) I guess I normally call it a light in conversation and I must have come up with "street light" just for searching :)

    Adjusting a streetlight sensor

Years ago I read on this forum that it's possible to get someone (the city? the region?) to adjust the sensitivity of streetlight sensors so that they will sense a motorcycle. Many of them will only turn green if there is a car on top or if you push the pedestrian crossing button. So you just...

    Toronto to Hudson's bay

Our trip last year, this is how long it takes me to make a simple webpage :) Toronto to Hudson's Bay and back on a Motorcycle It's more commonly known as James Bay but Hudson's Bay is easier to find on a map :) The bugs on James Bay road were terrible, but non-existant elsewhere. I have since...

Vulcan 900 - noise like belt rubbing or something

Hey, I think you're right! Thanks! I loosened it as much as I felt was reasonable, and the noise is gone. While doing it I also noticed the rear pulley wobbles a little (not the wheel, just the pulley) and I failed to do anything about it, I don't know what's supposed to be holding it straight...

Vulcan 900 - noise like belt rubbing or something

Yeah, is there an alternative I could replace it with? It seems like I may not have any better ideas. What do you swap them with? Today I finally got a chance to have another look. It's definitely the belt, and definitely on the front pulley. To test I adjusted the rear whell so much that the...

    Stolen bike registry

Sucks man! I lost 3 bicycles in Toronto to theft, luckily I was living in the north suburbs when i started riding motorcycles, still have mine :) Given how ****** I was about losing the second bicycle - I can vaguely imagine how you feel. And I don't want to be you!

Vulcan 900 - noise like belt rubbing or something

I wouldn't call it waves exactly - it seems to happen more at some speeds and less at others, but the noise stays more-or-less constant at constant speeds. It doesn't sound like a squeak - more like a fast grinding noise. As if the ridges on the outside of the belt were touching something. Do...
