Brett McCormick - Trying Hockey @ Univ. Sask.

Good for him. Not many guys would decide to get a degree. Hope he likes the hockey. http://www.calgaryherald.com/sports/amateur/university/huskies+hopeful+mccormick+shifts+gears+from/11383614/story.html

If one is working on a rig, this is what they can expect. Remember that a guy would get 1.5x hourly wage after ~8hours per day.... and work is 12 hour shifts 7 days a week. Rig workers are on a rotation, 14/7 or 20/10 etc. Tough job, long hours, not for everyone. If anyone wants to apply...

I'm in Calgary, have tools to get your wheel off, but not to actually change the tire.

    Toronto to Los Angeles

Man, Montana is hard to go wrong. A good ride/drive is coming form Libby up to Eureka along Lake Koocanusa... that will put you near the Canadian border. Along I-15 there is a road called Recreation Road SW of Great Falls .... awesome for camping etc.... along the Missouri River. I might ask...

Etobicoke - So I want to learn to ride on a track

It is a hell of an intro, but by no means trial by fire. When I took it at Miller (I live in Calgary now, so it was a day's drive for me) there were 2 racers, about 3 or 4 that wanted to get into racing, some guys that just did trackdays and wanted to get better (that's where I slotted in)...

Etobicoke - So I want to learn to ride on a track

If you have the money I would strongly suggest Yamaha CHampions Riding School in New Jersey. They moved the school there for this year after leaving Miller.

    Toronto to Los Angeles

FYI on driving times - Cannonball from Toronto to Denver is ~24 hours... switching drivers would get you there in short order (leave at 5pm.... get to Denver 5p.m. or there abouts the next day) and that's ~2/3rds the distance to LA. Chances are to Calgary will take you at least 36 hours or...

    Toronto to Los Angeles

I know there is a cool thing related to doing a solo trip from TO to the west coast and back. Having said that, I would suggest driving (trailering or having the bike in the back of a pick up) to Colorado.... then doing the West Coast trip up to BC and back again through Idaho, Montana, Wyoming...

Leaving the keys in the bike

Well one time I left the keys in the ignition of a BMW over night in San Francisco.... in a not so great part of town, on a fairly major street. I think the only reason why it wasn't stolen was because it must have appeared to be too good to be true for any thief. No way man, that's a Bait...

    Trailer security

If it is an enclosed trailer, paint the plate number on the roof, so that it can be identified by air. Trailers have been located that way. It is after the fact, but hey better late than never. :D

The Cost of speeding in Canada

The speed across most of Canada is too low. Driving the 80mph zones in Utah is great..... 130kph and you are pretty much legal. Having said that, Utah is like the Ohio of the west. There are cops all over, especially on I-15, but when you can cruise at 130kph and not worry about it.... it's...

Yamaha Champions School moving to NJ Motorsports Park

https://ridelikeachampion.com/ Not sure if this is a repeat, but the course is a heck of a lot closer than Vegas and Miller. Highly recommended. It is the old Freddie Spencer school. Nick and Ken are fantastic teachers.
