When i bought the bike the springs were twisted and the exhaust was pointed the wrong way (opening facing up). I turned the exhaust to be the proper way, but the springs are only tight if they are put on twisted like that. I didnt think that would matter.

Nope he means ISO, aka the international organization for standardization. They are the ones that determine the standard sizes, tolerances, fits, etc. of almost any mechanical part (Gears, nuts, bolts, fasteners, etc.)
