What did you do in your garage today..?

How about a new head? Or valve seals? Or a boneyard low km motor. Just sayin'. No need to change the oil, just top it off. It burns it like a 2 stroke! Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

    Anyone else becoming more reclusive?

You know gtam is social media, right? Mild compared to Facebook... Its good to take a break from it every once and a while. I rode alot this year. Dirt and street. It was a good season. Ive got some crossover friends between each discipline, but mostly two well defined groups. One trip to...

What did you do in your garage today..?

Clutch swap on my str675r. Wasn't slipping yet, but was near the end of the cables allowable adjustment (clutch side and lever). Some steel plates looked a little burnt. Then an oil change. Hopefully it feels a bot more snappy, and I get one more ride before it gets stored. Sent from my...

    Considering a second bike

Yup. Felt like a torquey dirtbike couch. Your bike, when I took it out, at the Gap overlook. Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

    Considering a second bike

765 at double my insurance cost. 675 is the sweet spot. Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

    Considering a second bike

I'm similar. Around the $600 mark, full coverage on my 2014 Street triple 675r. Jumping up to a 765 street triple would have doubled the insurance... apparently they are "sport bikes", but my 675 is not. Td Meloche Monnex Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

How long does it take to pull the trigger on a bike purchase?

I do my research. Like @Lightcycle I don't impulse buy, but I wont wait forever either. Ive got a few bikes that fit different niches in my shed. I wont get rid of one until I have a proper replacement. I like a good deal. Cars and trucks... I don't much care. If it doesn't have any glaring...

They were awful bikes, but stone-axe reliable. For $100, they just want it gone. I wouldn't expect much. Good project for sure. Great learning experience for someone with time and drive. Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

    Considering a second bike

Street triple 675r is claimed 403lbs wet. Mt-07 is nearly identical in weight 406lbs. Duke 790 is 412-417lbs wet. Duke 890 lost 6 or 7 pounds from the 790. At hta172 speeds, you'd feel like your getting pulled off the bike. Its for sure a wind sail. Keeps you honest. Sent from my SM-S921W...

    Considering a second bike

R9T is nearly 500lbs. They do look nice. If I were you, I'd be going for light weight. Likely naked. Opposite of your current faired tourer. Fun and flickable. Sent from my SM-S921W using Tapatalk

    Considering a second bike

Street triples are 675cc until 2017. I love mine. Plenty of power. Light. Handles great. Insurance on the 675 was half the cost of the newer 765. TD considered the 765 a "sport bike"... but not the 675??? I can handle 10-15hp less for half the insurance cost. 100hp is the sweet spot for an...
