You are right, some insure you but the rate is astronomical, basically an indirect rejection.

Not dirty, this was 20 years ago. I had my Romanian license and an international licence also. It was ok in the states. I was able to insure and operate a bike. I was paying $28/month for a supersport.

In Canada for 10 years and lived in the states for 8, so the rules are not an issue. They did the same BS with my car insurance also 10 years ago. A ripoff.
