How much does your gear weigh?

You should be more careful with your junk. And my wife won't let me lend mine out.

Sihks must wear helmets in Ontario

I'm a little fuzzy on just what is a "right". Is there some legal definition? People seem to think that simply declaring they have a right to do something makes it so. Seems to me all a right is, is any activity permitted by law. Or more simply, anything you can get away with doing. I can have...

Has commuting on your bike, reduced your passion for riding?

Not disagreeing, but given that you have to do the commute, is it not good to do it the most enjoyable way? While commuting may take some of the joy out the hobby, the riding injects a little joy in the commute.

Has commuting on your bike, reduced your passion for riding?

My primary use of my bike is to get to and from work (Burlington to TO), and do it in most weather as long as there's no chance of ice. With free street parking, it's cheaper than the GO train, and so my commuting cost goes down in summer - which alone justifies it; but as a bonus, my commute...

    NINJA 250 Riders

I know, I'm so ashamed of myself. Weighing the virtues of one entry-level 250 vs. another is fresh material that's never been discussed on GTAM before, and here we are interrupting that stimulating flow of information with boring tedium. Honestly, though, philosophical debate is like picking at...

I'll break it down for you. On the question of "is there a God or gods": Theism = YES Atheism = NO Agnosticism = Neither/Non-committment/Possibility of elements of both being true/Undecided/No comment. Atheism is as strong a belief as any theistic belief. Simply saying that you do not...

Disbelief is a commitment to the non-existence of a thing. That excludes the possiblity of its existence. http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/disbelief Agnosticism, by its definition, allows for the existence of God, therefore you cannot be an agnostic atheist. Denial of a particualar...

Broads hate it when you call them chicks. Also, pretty sure atheism is a straight-up denial of the existence of god or gods: http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/atheism a : a disbelief in the existence of deity b : the doctrine that there is no deity vs: agnostic which is more...

I love how absolutely any thread has the potential of becoming a theological debate (or mud-slinging extravaganza). For what it's worth, I'm pretty sure atheism in any of its forms is, by definition, a denial of the existance of god/gods. What was defined as 'weak atheism' above, is more...

Just joking with you... the word 'manly' in your first post made me chuckle. On a more helpful note, if part of your definition of 'manly' is 'bigger', you may want to look at the Hyosung 250. It's still a small engine, so should fit your insurance budget, but the actual size dimensions of the...

What's MANLY is to make enough money to ride whatever you want. What's REALLY MANLY is not caring how manly other people think you are. (Not saying I measure up on either count, but hey, I ride a motorcycle, so I'm cool, right?)

Let the City know what you want to do about e-bikes - official survey

How about forgetting the whole "e" part of this, and just accept that a motor is a motor, whether powered by a battery, gas, diesel, moonbeams or whatever. The question then becomes: at what power level should it require regulation? We don't differentiate between a gas powered car, hybrid or...

Buell Blast worthy of riding or as a crushed cube?

I got one cheap from a guy at work who bought a ducati and wanted to dump it. When he first mentioned it too me I told him I wasn't interested, and every time he mentioned it, the price kept dropping until I couldn't say no. My wife was learning to ride, and thought my 750 was too big for her...
