Single rider on a sport bike (unknown) went down last night on North Sheridan just west of Erin Mills, Msga, late last night. Rider did not make it - heard he maybe hit the guard rail and went over. Peel put up a witness appeal sign there today.
If anybody has any info call them or post up...
As some have said - maybe bike had right of way but drivers (any age) cannot accurately judge the speed of a motorcycle due to its small size and lack of visual cues that let us properly gauge how far away it is and how fast it is coming. So maybe the driver saw the bike but it is almost certain...
As mentioned earlier the report likely only deals with OPP investigated crashes. I work in a big city and as part of my job get to go to a lot of crashes. While not all deaths they are usually nasty - ancedotal take is -
1. Majority are kids with no gear
2. Most are the kids fault for driving...
Guy who did my boots works in the Shoppers World Mall at Hwy 10 / Steeles in Brampton. Did a great job - partial resole of front of both boots with thick rubber sole material - holding up well after 8 track days and street riding.
Sorry - should have provided a bit more detail. Tank is carbon/Kevlar and finished in matte. However the matte finish reacts to ethanol and it creates a white haze/oxidization that is essentially unremovable. So looking to remove this matte finish which I am told is a laquer and polish the tank...
In the MAIDS report (most recent in-depth study from Europe on MC fatal collisions) stats break down to about 37% rider fault 50+% cage fault (rest mechanical, road conditions etc). Intersections account for over 50% of MC collisions.
First - RIP to the rider - no ones deserves to die just for running even if they shouldn't
Second - Apologies and sympathy to the involved SUV driver - it is a horrible thing to be part of and live with even if you did not cause it
Third - The above Reg is merely an amended version of the old...
I think a lot of unwritten issue is the roads here in Ontario. I have a track bike (600RR) and two street bikes (02 VFR and 10 RSV4 Factory). I ride at the track, bout 10 times a season, but I actually have more fun going south to where there are better roads. Once your in the tight twisties of...
Well got to say I love my 10 RSV4 Fctory - yeah its a bit much for the street but take it down to the Smokies and you can have a spirited ride for sure - Cherohola, Blood Mountain, Russell B Parkway, Lake Burton Road etc etc...
.
Use a CBR600RR right now for the track but imagine the Ape will...
I have these boots and got them the same size as other footwear - 10.5 (44). They were tight and actually incredibly painful on my heels on first long ride. That said, after wearing them several more times they broke in as it were - I think the lining material really not the frame of the boot...
Have the rsv4 Factory - love it. Non-ARPC and don't feel you need the electronics for the road - track yes. George at Corsa has been great to me and at the price your stating thats a great buy. Nothing beats v4 sound or feel!
