    Intro course

Hold on Hold on! Complete research is what you can actually do . With something so critical such as rider training, doing just partial research is only cheating yourself. So dont limit your research to just youtube, hearsay, proximity and ending it there! Yikes. Choosing a school: 1) First, I...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

Nope I dont know of any organization that do. We give verbal and visual demonstrations for the student. The need to be informed.

First day on a motorcycle. Wow - why didn't I do this sooner?

Um.. you shouldnt be shifting to 2nd "immediately after starting". Is that what you did? ? Or you dumped clutch immediately and didnt get anywhere?? Either way - It takes some time to ride thru 1st gear so you can shift to 2nd properly. Each gear is made for a certain speed range - so when you...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

I feel your frustration ... sorry!!! Well its not available because for the M1 exit test, organizations/schools can use the testing method of their choice (of course they previously submitted it to the MTO who then approves it). So its an individual organizational thing. The Most II test seems...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

OK guys just hold your horses here ... you're getting ahead of yourselves... There is no committee. There is one Examiner assigned each weekend. This examiner on-site is the final and only decision!! So calling any chiefs or directors of any schools will not reverse any test result. You could...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

Mike - I dont think you are going to find too much online regarding it - because its a test! My advice is to stop worrying about what is on the test at the end of the weekend - and focus on the course and learning - and being smooth with- the operational skills of the motorcycle. Focus on...

M1 Exit test - Is this cause for a fail ?

Because the schools (generally) test the student using a method called the "MOST II test" (Motorcycle Operator Skill Test). Not the same testing method as the MTO uses. And it actually is comprised of 8 test sections... but a couple of the sections have another skill test hidden within...

    Loving my new Bike

I think all of us on here are well aware that motorcycles are the smallest vehicle on the road ... and that puts us at a disadvantage - therefore, we need to adjust our RIDING according to this - So dont base any bike choice on this "bigger is safer" mentality that is happening here...

    Loving my new Bike

Totally disagree with this also! And who buys a bike based on in case its a "windy day"?!! Yes a larger bike would have more power on the highway, but the 250 is an amazing bike and would kick other bikes *** in the city and much funner to ride. Besides, riding on the highway takes zero skill...

New to riding (and driving) and I've got a few questions about the M1 exit test.

Motorcycle training schools test students skills at mid second gear speed - on SMALL TRAINING BIKES - so that is like 25-30kms kind of speed!!! Yes the school will teach you about shifting gears. I should hope so!!!!!! All the schools should. And no that doesnt mean you are going at mock...

Didnt want to hijack the other thread...New Rider (few questions)

Ya whether the M1 exit test is difficult or not is totally a subjective question. I think you need to not worry so much about which of the testing facilities is 'easier' to take your test at - and just focus on your skills. Since you can watch people taking the test,.. go practice it later...

Private (Intermediate / Advanced) Riding Lessons. Anyone Offering?

Ummm ... you need to be very careful asking anyone for help on here.. Passing on their bad habits unknowingly to you!!! Yikes! How would you know their qualifications or skills??? Most approved motorcycle schools have instructors that give private lessons...

Alpinestar Fast lane boots not good for M1 exit course?

hahaa thats funny! A store has no authority whether a school will accept gear for their course. It's up to the school to set its policy of what is acceptable or not; then it is up to the senior in charge on-site to make the final call- keeping the schools policy in mind and using their own...
