Thanks for all the input. I ended up opting for the gladius. Rode today, I'm just going to take baby steps as I get back into riding, and being very careful about my speed. But I can see how easy it is to just completely throw caution to the wind on a bike. What a rush

I find the entire purchasing process completely paradoxical. You need plates to ride the bike, but you can't get them cause you need insurance, but you can't get the insurance until you have the VIN and then you are just sort of in this completely busted loop where you're likely illegally riding...

I think the ktm duke 390 is a smaller bike that is considered sports touring, but I'm a big dude.
