    Commuting on a SS

My Duc 999S used to get so hot in traffic I literally burned the inside of my legs in stop and go on several occasions. It's bike by bike - some cannot do it (e.g., like others said, Tuonos)

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

We've all got anecdotes, mine is that when riding a fully faired bike, being a light weight rider, the 404 on gusty days was often way too dangerous. Can also recall going down the DVP, coming to an uncovered section and being hit with a gust so hard it nearly ripped my grip off the bars. Light...

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Plays out a bit differently when it's gusting. Not very stable if you're literally blown off the road ;)

Who's still riding? (Fall & Winter 2018 Edition)

Forecast say that's next Monday. My bike's going away tomorrow, looks like this week is the last of the above-zero mornings

    Triumph Street Triple

On the '13-'17 model the fuelling has a bizarre dead zone on decel between 6-4k RPM that can apparently be fixed by going full Arrow. All of a sudden engine braking will increase...very annoying. Throttle tube on the 675 sucks, the throw to WOT is so long that extended riding at highway speeds...

Anyone ever done serious mileage on a ducati monster?

I did a few 8-9hr rides on my 696, could get ~20-21km/L on those days. Sore by the end of it, but doable. I had that thing for 4 years, it was a great bike. On the 1100 EVO, here's some real world fuel figures: http://www.fuelly.com/motorcycle/ducati/monster_1100_evo That bike is a solid $2500...

Own Canadian marijuana stocks? Then you can't ride into the US.

Dunno, I went for a week long training course, didn't need a visa.

Broke down on 50. Between Ridge road and 8.

So, we're all wondering - which Ducati did you snap the stand off? :P Why did that require CAA?

Any competitive insurance companies for SS ?

I heard from someone that Wawanesa has changed their requirements and you now have to bundle house and car to get a new policy. Anyone able to corroborate?

    Lane filtering might become legal....

Never thought I'd see the day... It's a pilot project proposed for Richmond and Adelaide but wow, a step in the right direction

    Pete's Superbike..???

I think you'll find most people recommend Pete's. I haven't had any issues. Fast shipping, good stock, and pretty much the best prices.

How long can my bike sit in the summer?

You're not riding the clock from Lost, bikes can sit for months

    Motorcycle theft?

Here's a new one: My friend's girl had her slipon stolen off her Ninja 300 while parked downtown. It was just some random noname brand too

    Damit flat rear tire!

Those go *inside* the tire. A rope plug is way more convenient for most people

    Damit flat rear tire!

Yep, no more bike service at Flying Squirrel, and they moved to a different location in the same building (in case you walk in and wonder where they went) Dave (the mechanic who was at FS) however has opened his own MC service shop on Carlaw, just down the street. Here's the link...
