It sounds like @TekMason was able to get his plated - curious if Langs helped out with that?
Neither my Talaria or Surron light bee models had a 17 digit vin and at the moment I haven't seen anyone writing offroad policies for them. (To legally ride the OFTR trails they require you to carry an...
I owned 2 surron's, one with the rst fork and then the newer fastace. After that we added a talaria as well. They are basically expensive pit bikes unless you throw a lot - and I mean a lot - of money at them. Sold within a year after getting some good use out of them. They are fun toys in stock...
I had sold a bike and let the MTO know as I usually do. Still ended up having to show up at the impound a few years later.. buyer never registered it and got caught riding it illegally and I was last registered owner on paper.
I remember enjoying mine a lot when I had it. They have a raw feel.. Was cool to ride something different for a while but brutal suspension, small tank, and sub par braking power/performance had me searching for another bike within a year.
I've had one. It was fun when riding with other groms but thats realistically the only time I would ride it. Any other rides I would take the bigger bike.
How many hours/km do you expect to put on in a year? What's your budget? Just getting into offroad or have experience? I've had many dual sports/dirtbikes over the years. Most who have been into it for awhile will tell you its almost impossible to find the perfect "do it all" bike.. Personally I...
Not a factory supermoto. Would be be a fun toy but not a street ride you'd want to rack up any sort of milage/hours on. When those motors start needing work the "deal" becomes a bit of a money pit. Also something to consider those older husky's may be difficult to source parts for soon if not...
^This.
I just went through an interesting situation myself. Got a phone call from 11 Division at 2am on a Saturday a few months ago saying that my motorcycle was involved in an incident and I needed to come down to the station and get it from impound. This is a bike I sold over 2 years ago. The...
Have had many but the most memorable ones:
1) Riding on appleby line north of derry rd on top of the hill. There are a few spots where you crest some hills, as I come over the top of one of them there was a car doing a 3 point turn at the very bottom of the hill. Was on the binders hard as soon...
Hey guys,
Strange to be posting this.. I’ve had some sort of street bike since Age 20 (30 now) and I’m thinking about taking a break from riding on the road. I think I did 2000km last season - weak! I’ve always been into off-road bikes and recently that’s all I’ve been doing is riding...
Dirt only - motocross bikes and entry level trail bikes are what I've been watching. I ended up getting frustrated and bought a new non current mx bike for a great deal.
But again just today missed out on another little trail bike that was posted for 30 minutes before it sold! Reasonably priced...
I haven't been watching the street bike market much - however, I have been all over the dirtbike and entry level dirt bike market for year prior and now just recently. I cannot believe the prices that are being paid for used stuff at the moment. I just sold a clean dirtbike of mine for over...
My general rule is that I never rush a purchase - and if something seems off or the seller is making things difficult I walk away. There's always another deal around the corner. Patience is key - emotional shopping doesn't always end well.
