I bought a set of H4 LED (USA CREE) bulbs for my gixxer from the show last year from a local supplier, he compared them side by side with HID and I was very impressed how bright they were.....big waste of 190 bucks!!! I went for a night ride and they were horrible, I tried make them work better...
Was talking to a guy yesterday and he asked what happened to me as I was hobbling around with my cane, I replied "bike accident".....turns out it was this riders boss. His injuries are severe and still in a coma, he was on his way to work when the truck turned infront of him.....my broken pelvis...
Different tires and compounds work differently on all bikes, as Shaman stated with running different tires on a high HP bike.....your tire opinions should include your bikes power and your riding style IMO. A great tire can get a bad name with a bike and style not meant for its design.
Tirox is my choice, not messy and keeps my chain looking clean....been using it for years and the chain holds up nice as well as looking better than new untill I replace it.
Not judging or picking teams here, a lot of riders with way more experience and chances to use different brands and compounds on this site.....all are good input to the topic. Only stating to adapt to your style/ tire choice/ and weather conditions, which ever the case.....ride safe!!!
I took my buds gixxer on a ride when mine was down, he had pilot 2 CT's (not old junk).....had a few *** puckers and wasn't a big fan. Another just switched to Q 3's for the street and likes em, I'll have to try em out one day.....I'm prob just an old creature of habit only used to what I...
They're the twin pie shaped drives joined together,10 in total or 5 sets not the five round ones you're speaking of(Brian) ....I thought it might be a company making improved ones for them but not the case (Dricked). Was thinking the same (TK4) just old but I've never seen or heard of this...
I'm running a set of marchesini 10 spoke rims, went out for a casual ride and the rubbers turned to mush and crumbled apart.....anyone had this happen or heard of this? Read somewhere before about an upgraded version for these wheels but cannot find anything now, new set ordered but would like...
Some do ;), been riding for 10yrs now and have never owned a set of "street" tires.....ran race DOT's for years and now just groove my used slicks. You just have to adjust your riding style according to the weather
Me either, other than the usual *** pucker to hold you to the seat it's a nice casual ride and the track is pretty much empty too.....typically just called off for a heavy downpour or lightning.
Not sure about kawi's but on gixxers most just block off the smog lines or get block off plates and that cures the problem, tuning works best.....sometimes both
