He demonstrated why he is right; you're simply trying to redefine the word as you see fit... "no matter your opinions and twisted logic", you're projecting your own behavior and errors on others :)
Also just because you have a negative connotation of the word "paramilitary" doesn't mean you...
Do you?
A paramilitary is a semi-militarized force whose organizational structure, training, subculture, and (often) function are similar to those of a professional military and which is not included as part of a state's formal armed forces.
I've been to countries with worse corruption...
HTA 172 is more than enough moral justification to run away from police...take a second and absorb that...if you disagree, you probably don't ride much except maybe to a cafe once in awhile...
NOW...that said...THINK about what running away from the police actually is....it's you, a lone person...
I don't mind, I check my mirrors frequently and I am not surprised when cars approach me from behind...if they're moving faster than I am I will move all the way over and wave them by...in Ontario most drivers aren't comfortable passing a bike in its own lane but back in Cali a lot of people...
To the OP...you will never find acceptance of it here...you can be one of the angry people envious that they don't have the cajones to do it (but rationalize their arguments and present their side as something else) or you can split or filter when you are confident you can do it safely.
If...
It isn't a fair comparison - you have no statistics on how many motorcycles there are in L.A. county specifically...simply dividing the population isn't reliable.
Having lived in both places I can tell you LA is more motorcycle friendly but there are just way more bikes there...you see them...
I'm not comparing the numbers, I'm comparing the enforcement scheme...what the limit is vs how it is enforced and what is safe vs what they set it at.
Also, what part of AZ do you live in? I'm not ignorant of the state, I've spent considerable time in Phoenix both in winter (it's nice) and...
I find it a little distasteful that we're singling out HD riders as being the only people to have long parade lines causing traffic...seen sport bikes doing it, seen touring bikes doing it, and of course groups of cruisers that aren't brand specific
You just aren't getting it, and you probably won't...truly a shame the strawman arguments you keep trying to introduce...all in the interest of...what...defending the current system? Do you think what we're doing right now is what we ought to be doing going forward?
Your refusal to accept the...
I think you have the capacity to understand what I'm saying but not the lack of bias...you're utterly and completely missing the point with your response.
Yes, they will - and some of them will die, and some will get caught - they are the outlying people who truly need to be ticketed.
No, I...
Avoidable yes, but safely avoidable, no...riding under the flow of traffic is dangerous, and riding with the flow WILL eventually lead to a ticket...if that's not you yet, good on you.
Eastern states have atrocious drivers and low speed limits generally - they are more like Ontario...but...
I said it in another thread and I'll say it here - I am not part of the "FTP" crowd...but my opinions on what we are/should be paying them to do with their time differs radically from the special interest groups and politicians in the province.
I don't run from the police, but I can understand...
I understand and respect your point of view...but please don't reproduce...
The last thing we need are more weaklings who are willing to give up freedom for the illusion of more security.
If anyone on here embraces running away it is only because traffic enforcement is basically legalized...
Ok, agreed.
But blocking a road going slow and not pulling off for faster vehicles is more "dick" than passing in the same lane (or passing around corners that aren't blind).
Or you're competent?
Again, a lot of the people on here who judge cruiser riders but can't ride their sportbike out of a wet paper bag is a little annoying.
A "train" is just a lot of bikes in a row...you can pass them individually, and if you can't pass an HD on a twisty road you can't ride...
